I am so glad I made the right decision to have this breast reduction. No more back pain.. Shoulder pain.. rashes, Best decision I ever made. Especially at my age so if you need the surgery don't hesitate. My pain wasn't that bad. Just do what the Doctor tells you to do and you will be just fine good luck on your surgery.

I was devastated when I was told that I had Breast Cancer at the age of 45. I decided to meet with Dr. Blakemore to inquire about a breast reduction at the same time as the lumpectomy. Dr. Blakemore had such a beautiful and personable bedside manner that provided such peace during this time of my life. She has been such a "Blessing" and I appreciate her professional expertise, as well as her personal demeanor. I highly recommend Dr. Elizabeth Blakemore to anyone who is considering breast plastic surgery.

It only took me 7 years to break down and finally make a consultation for breast surgery. After our son was born and the after effects of pregnancy and breastfeeding were left behind I made my appointment. I spent time asking around and browsing the web before making the decision on who I wanted to see. Every path kept leading me to Dr. Blakemore. So I made my consultation appointment and controlled my nerves the best way I could. My husband was sure to go with me on the first few appointments to make sure I didn’t make any decisions that were “too small”. Bless! From the moment Dr. Blakemore walked in the room I knew she was the one! She sat down and talked to me like she had all day. She listened to my dislikes about my breasts and encouraged me to explain to her what I would like instead. She didn’t immediately disrobe me and start figuring out what she could do to turn the finger-painting into a masterpiece. Once I told her what I wanted, THEN she examined my breasts and gave me her professional advice. I thought I only needed some implants and I would be good as new, but Dr. Blakemore very kindly recommended a mastopexy procedure that would give me a little lift. She was so right!! Once I made the decision to schedule the surgery I went in for a pre-op visit where I got to try on some sizers to try to get a feel for the size I wanted to be. Again, my husband tagged along for “size support”. Dr. Blakemore’s nurse was with us for the majority of this visit. She was super sweet and encouraging. After much back and forth between sizes, we (my husband and I) finally compromised on 400cc memory gel implants. On the day of surgery I was crazy nervous! The pre op nurse was precious and made me feel as comfortable as I think any nurse could. Even the anesthesiologist was nice (what I remember of him). When I woke up from surgery I felt like I had been ran over by a train. I really don’t even remember the next few days- including the next day follow up appointment. . I had another appointment in a week and then 1 month post op. Dr. B prescribed me an awesome scar cream that I apply twice a day. It’s been a little over 1 month since my surgery and you can barely even see the scars. I couldn’t be happier with the results. I’m so glad I went with the 400cc, and combined with the lift they are perfect!!! Oh, and let’s not forget about the husband… He’s extremely pleased as well! It’s been fun watching the transformation they’re making week by week.

I went to VS today to get my official post op size. To my amazement I measured in at 34DD!!! Love my new bras and I feel amazing!!!!!!

I had my 3 month post of visit today. Dr. Blakemore was very pleased with the results, as am I! The nurse took my official "after pics" today and gave me a print out of the before and after. WOW! What a difference! Worth every penny!

When I learned I had breast cancer and would have to have a mastectomy, I knew I would want to have breast reconstruction. Dr. Blakemore was very kind and answered all my questions about the different types of reconstruction and the pros and cons, and spent a lot of time reassuring me. I decided to do the type of reconstruction at the time of my mastectomy where I had a temporary implant put under my chest wall muscle.Because I am very slender this was felt to be to be the best choice, and it also has the least down time. I was out of work for 6 weeks after the initial surgery. Every week after the mastectomy, for about 6 weeks, I would have an expansion done, where the implant was slowly expanded with saline. This was somewhat uncomfortable, with the most discomfort occurring 2 days after the expansion. I was able to work but would recommend the expansions being done near a weekend just to have some down time. My final reconstruction occurred about 3 months after the original mastectomy, and this involved putting a permanent implant into my breast that had been removed, as well as augmenting my remaining breast so that they would match. This was a much easier surgery and I was only out of work one week. I was very pleased with my results. I knew it would be something of a challenge, trying to make my real breast match my "fake" breast, and Dr. Blakemore did a great job. The scars are very small. I know it would have been easier for me to have had both breasts removed and reconstructed as far as them looking symmetrical when reconstructed, but I wanted to keep my breast that did not have cancer. Though Dr. Blakemore was realistic that it might not look exactly the same, she got VERY close. I am so pleased. She helped me through a very difficult time, and I would recommend her highly.

Today was my second time to receive the Juvederm / Botox injections. I am a little apprehensive about having any procedure done to alter my looks. Dr. Blakemore is always so kind and courteous to me and cares about how I want to look. She never goes overboard to make me look unnatural the way some physicians can. That means a lot to me. i highly recommend her excellent services, her kindness and support.

To begin, I had 1 cc of Restylane injected in my upper and lower lips. My plastic surgeon administered the product, a key factor in getting great results. She numbed me with a cream on my lips 30 minutes before the procedure. The injections were not too painful, the rubbing and smoothing she did afterwards was a bit painful but by no means unbearable. (Look if you have had natural child birth not much hurts anymore)

The initial swelling was fierce and my partner teased me the whole car ride home. However, I wouldn't recommend driving yourself home because I wanted to keep icing it the entire trip. I had a duck bill for maybe 3 hours and was terrified that was to be the final look! After several hours the worst swelling was gone and after 2 days I could see that I still wanted more volume. I went back and had .5 cc more added to my lower lip and now I am thrilled with the results. I really want huge pouty lips so I may get one more cc added and then wait four months and see how it looks.

I would also like to say that I am a runner (10k a day) and that so far,so good they haven't melted away. I still think 4 months will be when I top them off. I wonder if I will need the entire amount again? I may try perlane the next time or radiesse (I've heard it lasts a year).

Avoid! Dr. has abrupt personality when you ask questions that go against her plan. 2018 DCIS diagnosis, very early stage, but because of strong family history, I had bilateral mastectomy with spacers then implants. (No chemo or radiation). From the beginning I had problems with the drain on the CA side, she ignored it, and spacer on the side incredibly painful and much higher then other side. Implants exchange incredibly painful and breast hot and hard in the very early stages. Her massage therapist expressed concern about possible infection but Dr. B blew it off, I asked for antibiotics and she said no. Went to office once a week for a few weeks due to pain and was told to wait it out. She also has a habit of rolling her eyes at patients. She should have taken me back to surgery, she would have seen i was bleeding and clotting under the capsule that was contracting. I asked about second opnion and she expressed that I could but that she fixes alot of mistakes by other dr's. I had a severe capsular contracture, deformed breast and she made me feel like a bad person for questioning her. She continued to tell me to wait it out, that she knew something was going on but that she did not have a crystal ball. 2020, I'm still doing procedures to correct what she ignored. 2019 Under local anesthesia at another office, I had the capsule opened and it revealed all the clots inside the capsule.
She was neglant with me, causing unnecessary surgeries . The few negative reviews I eventually found were accurate regarding this Dr. They are no longer available to review. I pray no other woman will have the negative experience I had with her.

She is the worst injector and this office lies and way overpriced compared to more competent high end plastic surgeon offices like in charlotte. She doesn't know how to inject and they lied about a free consultation. They are overbooked I waited forever in the lobby and in the room and to be told that I would have to pay for the consultation and she injected so horribly that my face swelled up so bad, mind you I only had small things needed be done, filler and those fillers didn't last long at all due to the incompetent injection from her. Avoid this place. She asked the other doctor how much to charged for laser. They wanted to charge me over $1300 for fraxel on small areas on face when charlotte only charged me $75 dollars. Omg what a rip off. Staff was not friendly.

I have been dieting on and off my whole life! At about he 17, I started gaining weight and could not get it off. Turns out I had been diagnosed , much later, with polycystic ovary syndrome, making it very difficult to lose weight. I developed the classic PCOS body shape...skinny legs and a big belly. My mom died of cancer bout 10 years ago. Shortly before her death, I had reached an all time high of 260 lbs. she said her wish for me was to be happy and to have weight loss surgery to lose weight and get healthy. About a year later, I had gastric band surgery. I lost about 50 lbs and stayed that way for many years. About 2 yers ago I started taking Farxiga, a drug for diabetes, and jump started my weight loss again. I lost 30 more lbs. Now down 80lbs, I have excess skin and flab to deal with. I am 52 years old now, eek, how did that happen lol, and ready to do it! I have picked 3 local surgeons to have consults with and plan to have my surgery in October. Any advice is appreciated!

7 weeks til my life changing operation. I am so excited and nervous at the same time. I’m mentally and physically preparing for this. I was up all night looking at tuckthattummy.com, this is an awesome resource for before, during and after tt surgery. I am also planning a garage sale in sept and have been purging my house, almost like when I was about to give birth to my son. I feel the need to ‘lightener ‘ in body and life so I have nothing to worry about during recovery. I can’t stop thinking about what to wear to the surgery and after. I bought a couple t-shirt dresses but not sure why is best to wear. Any suggestions are appreciated

Went for my pre-op apt today. So excited and nervous, surgery is 2 weeks from tomorrow and I can’t wait. The possibility of a flat stomach is something I thought I’d never achieve! Every time I look in the mirror I imagine the results I might obtain and it’s jut so hard to believe. I feel like I’m trapped in this abused (by me) body. I’m so tired of the constant fight to keep my under belly clean and dry, avoiding rashes/itchiness. It’s a constant battle.
All of my questions were answered and I got all my pre-op and post -op instructions today. I feel more prepared and less scared after my apt today. SO EXCITED!!

Holy cow, it does hurt, but I still say it’s worth it! Sleeping in a recliner is a must. Loose comfy clothes, and husband/friends are the best

Wow, what a difference. I can do so much more now. Pain pump and 2 drains removed after week 1. I still have 2 drains. Swelling is still present but less. Lots of numbness. Still sleeping in recliner but sleeping all night now. Walks around the block daily. The only pain I have is near the drain insertions. Daily dressing changes and recording drains output 2 times a day. Next appt in 3 days

Wow, I finally feel great. Still a bit of numbness all around the incision areas, which is normal. No swelling that I can tell. Have been back to rl for a month and all is well. I also had my final pics for the before/after pic. I am so happy. There are other areas of my body that need attention, but this was definitely a must. I can live with the rest. So thankful all went so well!

My surgery is scheduled for the 17th of september, SO LESS THAN 1 WEEK. I am so excited as I have been wanting one for so long. I wear size 38DDD but I think I am bigger than that. I am 5'3 at 196 lbs for size reference. My boobs take up half of my torso, so I am ready to be able to see my curves! I had a baby in 2016 and breastfed for a few months which took a toll on the girls, however most of my breast tissue is made up of true breast tissue vs fatty tissue so they are very dense and full. My doctor is hoping to get me down to a C/D, which I am so excited about. I will post pictures later today and keep you guys posted after my surgery!

Surgery went great! The doctor took out 5 lbs!!!! I'm on a pain drip and hydrocodone and I only feel sore at times! ! The pain is so manageable, I compare it too being sore after a workout! I am bleeding a bit on the sides but that's normal the nurse said.

This picture was taken Wednesday, I was cleared to sponge bathe since I have the pain drip and I had to change my dressings and apply some ointment. I think I'm doing great, I see my surgeon tomorrow morning hope she feels the same!
