The best option for your lower eyelids is to place some filler into the sunken areas. &nbsp;This can be done carefully and in an exact manner. &nbsp;There should not be any change to your eye shape. &nbsp;Juvederm or Restylane are good choices. &nbsp;These hyaluronic acids can also be dissolved if you don't like the effect they provide.

I had some fat removed under my eyes about 10 yrs ago because I felt like they were puffy. It looked fine at the time but now I don't have enough. I want the line between my upper cheek bone and eye socket softened. Is there a risk that my eyes could look smaller, or the shape would change? What is the best filler? Thanks. :)

Most patients will reach maximum tightening at 2-3 months post surgery. &nbsp;Although there may continue to be some more tightening happening, it is usually minimal. &nbsp;Some procedures that can help promote additional skin tightening post lipo are &nbsp;external devices that use radiofrequency energy such as Pollogen, Pelleve or Thermage. &nbsp;These devices help heat the collagen and encourage further tightening. &nbsp;I would look into these treatments if you want to get the maximum tightening possible.

Some physicians will use a more dilute solution when injecting under the arms, hands feet, etc. for hyperhydrosis, but some use the same dilution as the face. &nbsp;

	I, myself, use the same dilution but inject very small amounts. &nbsp;The most important factor is the number of injections given so that all areas will be covered and secondly, placing the injections just under the skin so that they are at the same level as the sweat glands.

You could choose either option, but I believe you would get superior results and a better overall aesthetic appearance if you chose the mini-lift. It is true that fillers are easier and quicker in many ways, but my concern is that you would have to use so many syringes to address your cheeks and jawline area that you may easily wind up spending almost as much money as you would for a surgery. &nbsp;The mini-lift would help reposition your cheeks to a higher, natural position and would address the jowls that you mentioned. The overall effect would be a sharper more defined jawline and a more rounded youthful face. A small chin implant would enhance this procedure and give you more projection and balance in the chin area, but this is not an absolute necessity. &nbsp;This is something best discussed with your surgeon in person.

	Fillers would hide or disguise your jowls but would also add more weight or volume to the lower part of your face. &nbsp;You could lift your cheek with more volume (fillers) but unless you use fat transfer or possibly Sculptra, you will be replacing these fillers again in 6-8 months.

I am 40 and am unhappy with jowls/chin/neckline. I notice the tip of my nose has widened too. My question is this: Should I use fillers such as Restylane, Sculptra, Radiesse or a mini facelift for the jowls and should I use an implant or fillers for the chin? I actually don't mind paying for the fillers again in two years to keep my chin. I'd appreciate any input on how to give my face a more youthful look.

Recovery after liposuction is relatively quick. &nbsp;Patients are walking the first day after surgery, in fact I encourage this. &nbsp;As far as returning to the gym afterwards, I have most patients begin a light workout after 2 weeks and encourage them to ease back into their usual routine slowly so that they don't overdo it. It is best to avoid any significant stress or exercise on the operated areas for about 4 weeks to allow ideal healing, but aerobic exercise and weightlifting for non-operated areas can begin at the 2 week point

Submental refers to the area under your chin. &nbsp;In this area there are always three things to consider, how loose is the skin?, is there excess fat to be removed? and is there laxity in the neck muscle?

	Submental liposuction can be useful for removing the excess fat and also for tightening the loose skin, but it does NOT tighten the muscle or treat muscle "bands" that some people have. Tightening this muscle requires a surgical procedure, either a platysmal plication or a neck lift. &nbsp;You should speak with your physician more about this to clarify what your needs and surgical plans are.

I am having upper eye lid surgery done on Nov 13th. I also want to have lipo done on my neck as well. Is lipo the same thing as submental. The doctor says submental would be better for me because he does not only suck the fat out but he would then tighten the mucscle as well so I do not have to worry about lose skin later. Swelling 2 years after a facelift is highly unlikely. Based upon the pictures you sent, what you perceive as swelling is most likely due to your prominent scars. &nbsp;The thickened red widened scars along your incision lines are hypertrophic scars. &nbsp;These scars can result from either an individual&#39;s tendency to form hypertrophic scars or from too much tension upon the incisions. &nbsp;For thin hypertrophic scars, pulsed dye lasers can be used to reduce the redness and thickness to an acceptable level. However, when scars have spread widely, as in your case, the better option is to revise or remove the scars and close the wound again in a manner such that there is not tension along the incisions.

Most physicians perform IPL at 4 week intervals. You could do them sooner (2-3wks) but it depends upon the time course of your healing and what you are trying to achieve. Discuss this with your doctor.

ive done my first session of ipl 5 days ago to remove acne scars and i am new to the subject. but the scars have increased in redness and i understand it is a normal reaction from what ive read. And i would like to know if i can do my next session after 15 days so as to speed up removal of acne scars?
