I highly recommend Dr. Craig. I had been thinking about a breast augmentation for many years, but was nervous that they would turn out looking fake. Dr. Craig was able to create a plan for me from a few images and she got everything exactly right ! They are perfectly portioned to my body size and have the realistic fall and feel I was hoping for. Dr. Craig was also so caring and kept in regular contact with me for the first two weeks that I felt like I was her only patient, and then continued to check in about once a month. I am about 5 months post surgery and could not be happier with the results!
Rarely have I felt this comfortable and confident in a doctor! From start to finish, which for me was a 3 year period, Dr. Craig was attentive to my every need and concern and went out of her way to comfort me. My end results are above and beyond anything I could have imagined in the beginning! She is great, her staff is great...I would highly recommend Dr. Craig to to anyone looking for cosmetic or reconstructive surgery.
I had a DIEP Flap Reconstruction with bilateral implants. A DIEP flap is considered a muscle-sparing type of flap. DIEP stands for the deep inferior epigastric perforator artery, which runs through the abdomen. In a DIEP flap, fat, skin, and blood vessels are cut from the wall of the lower belly and moved up to your chest to rebuild your breast.
Dr. Craig and her staff at Fusi and Craig Plastic Surgery are THE BEST! I am 38 and high risk, w/ 10 failed breast recons: including a Lat Dorsi, implant placement & infection after infection. After my extensive health history, including a PE, radiation damage and Brain Metz, my left breast cavity dropped and my implants were again removed. 3 plastic surgeons said there was nothing they could do for me when Dr. Craig & her team came in to my life & offered me hope. Diep Flap is not performed in my Mid-west town, so I traveled to CT. She also practices in Houston, TX & I can promise you, she is WELL worth the travel! She went above and beyond meeting my expectations with her attention to detail, knowledge & expertise, bedside manor, honesty and caring heart! She is so thorough & listens to your wants..she study's your history as if it were her own surgery and she is a true example of how every physician should be!
I cant thank Dr Craig enough for the wonderful job she did. I had implants with a lift and i couldnt be more happy. My first 2 surgeries with another Dr was a nightmare. Dr Craig made me feel like a woman again. I can't thank her enough. I would definitely refer this practice to anyone that could use there services.
The outcome was great. The recovery time takes patience if you want good results. This is one surgery you must follow "doctor orders". What I like about this breast reconstruction is that you are killing 2 birds with one stone. You are gaining a breast after mastectomy and it does not hurt to have a tummy tuck result as well!
In general, burning pain can be normal after any surgery and usually is a result of swelling or surgery around muscles and nerves. If your implant was placed below the muscle this would be a perfect reason to have that type of pain. In general your pain should be improving over time and not getting worse. I would recommend taking Tylenol over Ibuprofen as the latter can increase your chance of bleeding. In the meantime, you can use an ice pack if that provides you some comfort and/or a bra if your plastic surgeon is okay with that. Sometimes wearing a bra helps with minimizing swelling but you need to clear this by your plastic surgeon before using as bras can also put pressure on incisions that still need time to heal. Hope this helps!
Hi there. It is a little bit difficult to see everything from the photo as we need side view photos of well, and photos are not a replacement for seeing someone in person, but one question I have is if you were happy with how things looked right after your surgery ? and when you started to notice a change?
Hi there, it is a little bit difficult to tell you exactly if you would need a lift or not from your photo. In addition if you want a significant augmentation, then often times that alone will lift the nipple and breast. You may be able to have just an augmentation alone if you wanted a significant augmentation and avoid the scars with a mastopexy, but again it depends on the amount you would like your breasts increased.
Sometimes it can take a few months for things to settle. It all depends on how your body responds to surgery and any swelling you may still have. In addition, any activity that you do (exercise) in particular, can cause additional swelling which will take more time to go away before you see the final results.
You will likely not see the final results until well after 1 month depending on the amount of liposuction performed. Your body undergoes a physiologic response after any surgery, but even more so after liposuction in which your body first swells, and then over weeks it will get rid of that swelling so that you can see the final result.
