Dr. Hartshorn, Dr. Swelstad, and their staff at Regenesis were awesome! Dr. Hartshorn spent time with me and really cared about what I wanted. He told me the process that would get the results I wanted. I trusted him to do what needed to be done, and I am so happy with the results. I no longer have the turkey neck I had for years! The cost of the procedure with Regenesis (Dr. Hartshorn & Dr. Swelstad) was very reasonable. I was able to get a procedure done in Grand Junction that I am extremely happy with instead of having to go to a big city to get it done. I highly recommend Dr. Hartshorn, Dr. Swelstad, and the staff at Regenesis.
good so far. three days post op. Outpatient, with a great view of Colorado''s Grand Valley. double teamed by docs. went fast. great nurse. Two vicodins and 3 valiums and locals. Had already had Ultherapy, worked for a while. But needed more. No pain at all during procedure. Pain next couple of days. Did not recommend ice. Absorbable suture behind ears. did SMAS. remove stitches in front of ear friday. Out patient suite attached to regional hospital. So far so good. Updated on 3 Sep 2018: Amazing doc. Answered my freaked out text and reassured me from Rocky Mtn hike at 12 qm Saturday night. How is that for real country service with urban flare? I have three friends who are so impressed with his work that they have taken his information. Dr Hartshorn and Regenisis in Grand Junction , Colorado really offer big city service in a beautiful and affordable setting. Here are some pics. The profile before and after is startling. The rest are with and without wrap from days 7-10. I am living my life and enjoying myself. I had a small issue with a hematoma behind one ear which seems to be resolving (hence my texts) it is now much smaller. I get my stitches out tomorrow. Updated on 8 Sep 2018: low level necrosis & hematoma behind (r) ear. Necrosis is almost gone. Still have swelling in neck behind ear but not visible because I have long hair. Had some fulid/blood drained on Thursday but it is still swollen. They tell me it is okay and will resolve. Seeing doc again in 10 days then flying to NY for HS reunion (50th) . Still very glad I did it . I like the results even if they are not all in yet. Here are some pictures from day 15 post surgery
He explained everything beforehand, so that there weren't any surprises! He took into account what I thought were my "trouble" areas that I thought needed more attention. He made sure I wasn't uncomfortable. It was a great experience!
Dr. Hartshorn is such a kind and truly caring doctor. His genuine concern about what I was expecting for results is amazing. My results have been spot on each time , so thankful to have him in this Valley !!
Dr. Hartshorn has done my Botox regularly for the last several years and he is the absolute best! He takes his time and makes sure that it is perfect every time! If you want Botox, he's the guy for the job!
I met Dr. Hartshorn shortly after being in a car accident. I was referred to him because of the extensive injury I had to my bottom lip. Dr. Hartshorn repaired my lip with little to no evidence that I ever had a completely severed lip. Dr. Hartshorn demonstrated such high standards of quality and care that it was shortly after that chose him to be my Plastic Surgeon. I have has several things done with Dr. Hartshorn, such as Botox, Eyelid Blepharoplasty, cheek fillers, marionette lines fillers. Everything that he has done for me has made me look amazing! Dr. Hartshorn is definitely one of Grand Junction top surgeons.
It all started when I was in middle school. This boy I really had a crush on told me that my nose looked like a ski slope. I never really cared to study my side profile much but since that comment was made about me, I haven't been able to stop. I've always been told, "you shouldn't take what people say to heart," but in this case it was hard not to. I started noticing more and more that my nose just wasn't a nose that fit my face all that well. It's rather large, bumpy, and hooked. On top of that, I recently found out that I also have a deviated septum. My septum curves to the left about 80% is what my doctor said, which makes breathing fairly difficult. With my upcoming surgery I will be able to get that corrected for better breathing, and get my nose to better fit my face. My rhinoplasty/septoplasty is scheduled for 6 days from now; January 23rd. I live in Grand Junction, Colorado and have decided to get my procedure done here in my hometown by Dr. Duane Hartshorn. I met with him a few months ago, and he seems to have the same vision for my nose as I do which is most important. With my surgery coming up in less than 6 days it's all starting to become so real. I'm am beyond excited to get this done with but I am also becoming more and more nervous. I would like to know if anybody has any suggestions? Any advice on how to prepare for this type of surgery? After surgery care/advice? I appreciate anything and everything anybody has to say :) thanks for reading! Updated on 30 Jan 2017: I am becoming SO anxious, excited and scared! My surgery is tomorrow at 1 and I have to be at the surgical center at 11:45. I'm hoping that I have stocked up on all the essentials and didn't forget anything crucial! Updated on 4 Feb 2017: Today is the second day after my surgery and I feel decent. I look rough and I feel worse than I did yesterday but it's not all that terrible. My face has become more swollen and my nose has that runny, cold feeling. Still no regrets! Updated on 4 Feb 2017: Feeling a whole lot better! I'm loving my nose more and more everyday. I know it's still very swollen but it already looks like a nose that better fits my face. My bruising is swelling looks pretty terrible and the swelling was uncomfortable more than anything, but it's starting to slow subside. I do have to say, the constipation from the pain meds has been brutal! That's something I definitely didn't see being as big of an issue as it has been! Be prepared for that! Updated on 5 Feb 2017: Updated on 13 Feb 2017: I am beyond thrilled with Dr. Hartshorn's work! My nose fits my face perfectly. I could not have asked for a more caring, skilled, and all around awesome surgeon! I am so very thankful to have had this procedure done. It will be two weeks tomorrow (Tues 2/13) and I've gotta tell you, I feel great! If you have been considering getting this procedure done to correct your breathing or for cosmetic reasons, GO FOR IT! Updated on 16 Mar 2017: I had my follow up appointment today, it has been about a month and two weeks and I am still living everything about my experience. As soon as I met with Dr. Hartshorn this afternoon, I was reminded again of what a damn good decision I made! He is such a great doctor. He said everything is healing great. I'm still quite swollen in my tip area as well as the inside of my nose, but that just made me even happier to hear because I'm very pleased with the outcome thus far. It's only getting better.. hooray!! Updated on 13 Jul 2017: My nose has changed so much and I love it more and more! Updated on 16 Aug 2017: I had my 6 month checkup today and everything is still healing well! Upon examination Dr. Hartshorn noticed that I had scar tissue that created slight airway obstruction in my right nostril. He explained to me that this is very common, it's just a piece of skin that we needed to cut. That process hurt just a tad, he of course numbed the inside of my nose but it was still uncomfortable. Immediately after he cut way the scar tissue I felt cold air coming through my nostril. It was an instant relief! My recovery process is just getting better and better!
I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Hartshorn. I had eyelid surgery in his office and I am extremely pleased. Not only did he thoroughly explain the procedure and the outcome I would have but he was so caring and attentive to my needs both before and after the procedure. Dr. Hartshorn and his office staff at ReGenesis Plastic Surgery are just truly amazing. I highly recommend him for any procedure.
Hi! Great question. While drinking alcohol after lip injections won’t dissolve the filler, it can increase swelling, bruising, and prolong the healing process. Alcohol thins the blood, which can make you more prone to bruising and cause inflammation. To ensure the best results and minimize any side effects, I recommend avoiding alcohol for at least 24-48 hours after your treatment. Enjoy your event!
Hello, thank you for your question! While trichloroacetic acid (TCA) chemical peels are safe when performed correctly, I recommend waiting before undergoing any chemical peels. During the period leading up to conception, it's essential to minimize exposure to any treatments or products that could potentially affect your skin or health in unpredictable ways. Please feel free to reach out if you’d like to explore pregnancy-safe options for maintaining healthy skin!
One of the hardest things after having a rhinoplasty is being patient. Right now it looks like you are still pretty swollen and that can take up to a full year for the swelling to completely subside. Usually it doesn't take that long, but until you reach your end results your nose will change quite a bit and two weeks post op is too early to tell so please be patient and don't feel bad about yourself.
The saying is true, everyone heals differently. I caution my patients that it will be about 10-14 days before all the swelling and bruising has subsided. Often times, they are pleasantly surprised because it does not take this long but if there are any unforeseen issues that arise they have allowed themselves the time they need to heal. Assuming all goes well and you are a quick healer, I would say two full weeks before anyone who is inspecting you closely will notice that you have had anything done.
Cool Helium Plasma or J-Plasma is a cutting edge technology that plastic surgeons are now using to resurface facial skin with amazing results. The downtime is pretty significant, similar to having surgery, I tell my patients to plan on being off of work for two weeks and then expect another 2-3 weeks for the redness to dissipate. During the first couple weeks tending to the treated area requires quite a bit of work so it is helpful for you to have someone that can stay with you and take care of things around the house. With all that being said, the results really are phenomenal and will become the gold standard in non-surgical procedures within the next year.
