Love It!!! - Virginia Beach, VA

I had my procedure over a year ago, and i absolutely love it! Going from -4.00 contacts to nothing was amazing! Their staff is great and Dr. Rampona is so nice. I like how he compared supralase to lasik. If you are considering vision correction, DO NOT GET YOUR EYES CUT with lasik! supralase don't cut flaps, so its very safe and that is the main reason i chose that way.

20/400, 37 Yr Old Tired of Contacts - Now 20/10 38 Yr Old - Virginia Beach, VA

Found First Colonial Eye Center in Virginia Beach, VA (Dr. Rampona) by talking to friend who had undergone Supralase procedure. Thoroughly researched the surgery and all other options and determined Supralase to be minimally invasive compared to other techniques with high success rate. I was 20/20 after 2 weeks, and I am 20/10 a year later with no side effects. Dr. Rampona and his staff thoroughly explained everything and made me feel extremely comfortable before, during, and after procedure. Dr. Rampona inserts tear duct plugs during procedure based on patient's tear production; he typically does not remove them until 1 year after the procedure unless patient doesn't want them. I originally wanted them removed due to minor irritation during certain eye movements (looking as far left or right as I could felt like someone was poking my eye), but after 9 months I no longer notice that they are there.

Supralase with Dr. Rampona - Virginia Beach, VA

I wish I had done this years ago. Dr. Rampona was very thorough in explaning the precedure and what to expect. If I had any questions, he gave out both of his direct numbers to reach him. He was extremely nice when I did have to call reqarding a question. I will say, I was worried because I had heard how painful the procedure was. I honestly hardly had any pain at all. For me, it was more of an annoying itch that would come and go. I would highly recommend Supralase with Dr. Rampona to anyone who asked.

Dr Rampona Gave False Sense of Results - Virginia Beach, VA

Had Supralase procedure two weeks ago. First week was exactly as expected. Best vision on seventh day post-op. Vision then began to decline. Unable to read without at least 1.5 power now and distance vision is sketchy at best. Not sure what to expect from here or what is best course of action- specifically whether to do additional "tweaking". Wouldn't have any doubt if results were at least close to what Dr Rampona had said I would have. Advice?

Supralase....

I love my results of tis surgery.  I wish I would have done it sooner.  This was an all laser procedure. I had it done on Friday May 2nd and went back to work that Tuesday. There was no pain at all.  I have never used so many eye drops in my life (required medication for recovery)...lol.  I chose this procedure because I personally have a fear of the flap that is created in the Lasik procedure.  The doctor that I went to is the developer of Supralase. He refined the methodology for the exquisite "no touch" corneal surface vision correction.  Supralase's unique mathematical formula with its very precise pharmacological regimen secures the procedures pristine outcomes.  Supralase is successful in the treatment of myopia and astigmatism. What differentiates SUPRALASE from PRK or other flap procedures like LASIK or INTRALASE?   Updated on 28 May 2008: If you are considering any form of laser eye surgery and have been told you are a good candidate, I would say "Go for it!"   It is so worth it in the long run.  I do not miss sticking contacts in my eyes, walking around with one contact because the other bothered me throughout the day, or wearing glasses when I run out of contacts. My vision is EXTREMELY clear, I actually think my vision is better than it was with contacts, but I will not find out until June 4th when I go for my first complete eye exam since surgery.
