After each of your treatments you should refrain from sexual intercourse or vaginal insertion for up to 48 hours.  After that 48 hours, you may continue sexual activity as normal. 

 

The diVa laser treatment takes 3-5 minutes to treat the full vaginal canal.  Additional passes can be done to customize the treatment to your needs.

A topical numbing cream is typically applied a few minutes before the procedure for increased comfort. A topical anesthetic is not necessary but is commonly used for patient comfort. 

Depending on
desired results, 3 procedures are usually recommended scheduled 4-6 weeks
apart.  This will be followed by an
annual maintenance procedure as needed and varies patient to patient.

Patients have
reported minimal discomfort and a topical numbing cream may be applied for
added comfort.  Some women experience
slight pressure against the vaginal wall during treatment, as well as
increased sensitivity near the vaginal opening.
