I went January 2020 and the whole process was faultless, very little pain, Dr. Turan was very involved including hairline design and implantation. All the other staff were very nice and professional I’m really happy with my results.
A wonderful experience which far exceeded my expectation. The team couldn't do enough for the patient and my well being was the number one priority. Everything ran so smoothly from start to finish. Communication was brilliant and i didnt have to worry about a thing which my experience that more special.
I am very impressed with the service I have received from FUECAPILAR from start to finish Profesional, realastic, helpful and implanted the number of grafts they have quoted- Great consultation and work and regular follow ups after implant is done I would definitely recommend them for anyone
After much research and speaking to many clinics around the world, I decided to book my Hair Transplant with FUECAPILAR. I had my HT with them last week and I am extremely impressed by the service that I received and recovery so far. The whole team was very professional and the standard and quality of the hospital was outstanding. Dr Turan, who is very experienced, was there throughout the procedure and implanted all the grafts himself. I felt very comfortable throughout the procedure and had peace of mind that I was in safe hands. I felt as though I was having the surgery carried out in the UK and not in a foreign country as the procedure and client care was of high quality. The owners, Jose and Seda, truly do put their customers ahead of everything and made sure that I had the best service from arrival to departure. What made me choose FUECapilar: DHI vs FUE: I preferred DHI method eventhough FUE has produced some very good results for some people. With DHI the channels are much smaller and the implantation is much more controlled and neat. Doctor vs technicians: 100% Dr! There is a reason why they are called doctors. A Dr will always have years of qualifications, training, experience and background knowledge about the procedure so even if something doesn't go right during the procedure, dr will be better equipped to deal with it than a technician. Every patient is different in terms of skin, blood etc, a Dr will know how to cater for needs of different patients whereas a technician may use 'one fits all' approach. In my HT Dr Turan implanted each and every graft himself. Very experienced and definitely amongst the best in the world! 1 day vs 2 days: HT is a long procedure and in my opinion it should not be rushed. Max number of grafts (extracted and implanted) in 1 day should be 3000 over at least 2 sessions (1500 extracted & implanted -break- 1500 extracted and implanted). Everyone is human at the end of the day and is much more likely to make a mistake rushing. Much more chance of damage to the donor area when extracting over 4000 grafts in 1 day. Damaging a 1500 grafts while extracting 3500 is a massive loss! Mine was done over 2 days 5 sessions: Day1: 1100 extracted and implanted-break-1000 extracted and implanted, Day 2: 1500 extracted and implanted-break-900 extracted and implanted-break-500 (Beard) extracted and implanted. At no point did I feel that the team is being rushed in any way! 1 HT at a time: Over the 2 days it was only my HT that the FUECAPILAR team were focused on so I had their complete attention. It was not a "conveyor belt" where the HT were being done one after another. Dr Turan did not just pop in to do the implantation and then went off to do something else. He was there in the operating theatre from the start to the finish both days. Top guy! He even gave me plenty of time at my first wash and answered all my questions with a big smile. Jose stayed there throughout the wash and we had a long chat about post HT medications available in the market and what works the best. (Jose had his HT done by Dr Turan too over a year ago!) Professionalism: The team was very professional! I have received treatments in UK hospitals and clinics and I did not feel like I was having the HT done in a hospital of a different country. The team and facilities were of very high standard. Peace of mind that you are in safe hands. Very happy! Will update in 9-12 months and share more details about the results that I achieve!
Christian R. The doctor is visible well trained and he does the implantation process by himself. The consultation is very informative and the doctor gives a realistic view on the potential results, estimation of the grafts is also realistic, providing a good coverage without over harvesting the donor area.
I would like to share my hair transplant experience and my results up to 5 months with you. Before anything, I have to say that I am extremely happy with the results so far and I cannot stop taking photos of myself :) About me and my alopecia level: I am 42 years old. I do not have a very advanced level of hair fall, however within years I lost density and my hairline receeded as you can see in the photos. I contacted many hair transplant clinics in Turkey and I have received proposals from 3500 to 4500 grafts! Of course I didn´t take these clinics seriously because, come on, I clearly did not need that much. And most of these clinics were telling me that FUE (channel opening) is better in my case etc.. Then I started reading about DHI (choi pen / implanter pen) technique. One of the best surgeons in Spain and in the world (Dr. Jose Lorenzo) also uses this technique. I found FUECAPILAR´s web site - they were Dr. Dogan Turan´s exclusive representative in Spain (where I am from) and as of February they are the worldwide exclusive rep of Dr. Turan. Dr. Turan´s evaluation of my case was between 2000 - 2500 grafts. I had my implant on the 13th of January. His team did the extraction and Dr. Turan did the entire implantation process and implanted 2400 grafts. One of the things I really liked about Dr. Dogan Turan and FUECAPILAR is that they only take 1 patient a day. And any surgery over 3500 grafts is carried out in 2 consecutive days without additional cost. I went with my colleague and Dr. Turan performed his implant of 4000 grafts in 2 consecutive days - his implant was on Jan 14 and 15. The post op was very simple and painless, and FUECAPILAR has been in touch with me from the day I came back home with constant follow-up. I am only applying Minoxidil 5% twice a day. I will continue updating this post with my current photos. But I 100% recommend Dr. Dogan Turan and FUECAPILAR and I am so happy that I chose them. Updated on 25 Jun 2019: Hi everyone, I wanted to give you all an update. Check out my 5 month post-op photos. I had my HT operation done with Dr. Dogan Turan (FUECAPILAR) on Jan 13. Dr. Turan implanted 2400 grafts with DHI (choi pen / implanter pen) technique. Don´t hesitate to contact me for any questions. Cheers, Manu
I had my hair transplant done by Dr. Dogan Turan trough the service/marketing company Estegrande. The surgery was done in the Academic Hospital and I did sleep in the Holiday Inn Express hotel. The staff doesn't speak English but Dr. Dogan Turan does and there is a translator in the hospital all the time and you have a person helping with all the question and/or needed translations trough whatsapp almost 24x7 (as long as person doesn't sleep). I could choose for FUE or DHI implementing. Even that I wasn't sure if it would make a big difference I did choose for DHI because I liked the fact that the doctor could choose on the spot how and where to put hairs. I didn't know that Dr. Dogan Turan doesn't do the whole procedure by himself but the way the do it was absolutely fine. Dr. Dogan Turan sets the hairline together with and assistent doctor. He then starts the surgery and sets your hairline / first grafts (the most important one I think). Dr. Dogan Turan is walking and overseeing between the rooms and checks in like every half hour / hour and he also did finish the procedure and I could feel/see that he was putting absolute effort the put the needed details in. It took almost 12 hours to finish because I did bleed a lot (don't know why) but the were patient and worked even they were tired. Package was 2500 euro with two nights included, breakfast included, al taxi service (company had own drivers) and aftercare package (panthenol and HairMD after transplant shampoo). They try to sell you more (expensive) shampoo but you don't have to, if you choose not to buy the will recommed later (trough whatsapp) to buy Sebamed Shampoo and help you with everything (no hard feelings there). Will update during the process. Updated on 28 Aug 2019: Hereby are some recent pictures how my hair looks after 11 months. The back, where we put only the hairs left (focus on front) isn't totally covered but overall satisfied. I think what it's the most frustrating is that my hair was not 'natural smooth'. If I did come out of the shower I had to get it the 'correct way' directly or it was impossible. But that's minor.
Hello, As you well said you will have to be face down for several hours during the extraction stage of your hair transplant and this may cause a lot of discomfort and breathing issues only 3 weeks after your rhinoplasty. It would be more advisable to perform the hair transplant before your rhinyplasty.
Hello Miamiuk, Once the grafts have been harvested from your donor area those grafts will not grow back. As you may know there are two main extractions techniques (FUT - Strip surgery and FUE - Follicular Unit extraction). Each of them have their pros and cons. When an extraction has been done properly, the extraction is only noticed when the hair is cut very short. Like you mentioned, a hair transplant plays the role of relocating hair follicles from your donor area in other areas where you may be suffering thinning or balding.
It seems like your hairline is maturing according to your age. By using Finasteride you are helping to stabilise the hair loss, and additional treatments and therapies like Minoxidil, LLLT and derma roller are a good array of hair growth stimulants. Having said that, If your family has several cases of NW VI, it will NOT be advisable to undergo a hair transplant operation now. Continue using the medication and keep an eye on the thinning in the mid scalp and the crown.
Scalp micropigmentation is a good way to cover FUT surgery scar in the donor area. As SMP requires more than 1 session to achieve a satisfactory result, each session requires a minimum healing time of 5-7 days in between due to the inflammation of the scalp. If the SMP is performed on the scalp (not in the donor area to cover the FUT scar), my recommendation would be to wait at least 2 weeks, ideally 1 month, before undergoing HT.
Each hair passes through four stages in its life cycle: Anagen, catagen, telogen and exogen. Minoxidil treatment stimulates the circulation of the blood vessels. As a result, the hair cycle is modified: the telogen phase is shortened, thus hair follicles enter into anagen (growth) phase. The shortening of telogen phase may cause telogen effluvium which means there will be a shedding phase following the initiation of minoxidil therapy. Therefore, the effect of minoxidil occurs after approximately 8 weeks of treatment. When applying it, it is completely normal to notice itchy scalp, as it is a treatment that has alcohol and propylene glycol which causes dryness, irritation and redness. Sometimes, because of the lack of hair, either in the hairline or in areas where hair is beginning to grow, the redness may be much more visual.
