I have seen Dr. Antonovich for my beauty needs for several years now. I have gone to her for Botox, Exlis and several other treatments. I can always count on her to give me the best information and guidance for me to look my best. Dr. Antonovich and her staff are wonderful and would highly recommend anyone to go and see them.
I have been in the Charleston area all my life and MUSC has always been my #1 pick for anything medically related. When it came time for me to start reverse my aging, I knew Dr. Antonovich was the only way to go. She came highly recommended! I knew of others that had cosmetic procedures done by her in the past and not only were they pleased with the results but they were pleased with their experience!
Keep in mind that Botox minimizes wrinkles that occur with muscle contraction / movement. If you have “resting lines”, wrinkles that are present without movement in the area, then Botox is less likely to result in much improvement, although treatment with Botox may soften such lines and prevent those “resting lines” from becoming deeper wrinkles with time. Wrinkles in the lower “crow’s feet” area, the area extending onto the upper outer cheekbone, are not always caused by contraction of the muscle around the eye but may result from contraction of the muscle that enables you to smile (causing skin bunching / wrinkling in the area) and thus not something that can be treated with Botox. When treating the lower eyelid area, typically a small amount of Botox is used, use of higher doses in this area is unlikely to further improve wrinkling and may result in unwanted side effects. If your Botox does not seem to be working as expected within the time-frame expected, you should consider seeing your doctor so that she or he can accurately assess the area and determine what may be the issue and whether or not you would benefit from alternate treatment options such as soft tissue fillers or laser. Hope that helps!
