Day after laser Lipo on my upper n lower abs, waist and love handles. I’m alive .Could not pee for 12 hours, but that’s all functioning now. Very hard to get in and out of bed. The Lipo part was a breeze, but there was some pain when he injected me w numbing solution. But each time I made a face; Dr Dexter Blome stopped and had them give me more Demoral. I ended up with 200mg instead of the 25mg they originally injected. He said I was the most sensitive he’d ever had.Overall;Dr and assistant made me feel very comfortable. Played music and Dr let my grandma and sister come in a few different times so they knew I was ok. Im sore today, but doped on Vicodin ; so gonna relax. Took 30 min walk w grandma earlier. Back in bed.

No leaking of any kind. Took first shower. Sore, but see small change already. Back in the body suit.

Oh boy. Sooo the swelling is increasing. Not so much to tell by the eye, but I’m more tender and the compression garment feels tighter. It hurts to lay down, sit ( so I’ve been at my standing desk for two days). But I’m gonna have to miss work today cuz I haven’t slept enough. Im sooo sore. They say the swelling increases during the first week, then it stops. So I’m gonna medicate today and sleep some; do my 30 min walk later; and try to get some errands done. Getting into my small SUV to drive is even uncomfortable. The compression garment pushes up into my upper chest too much when I sit. I didn’t eat super healthy for a few days so now it’s time to start with my big changes to eating less fat. Still can’t workout. Unbearable at the moment.

Really tender. More bruises appearing. I look slightly bigger than I did day 2 post op. Im swollen and retaining water. Sharp little nerve shocks throughout the day. I went to work, but sitting down in the compression garment is awful. It presses against me in all the wrong ways. My mid section on the sides and back are ten times more tender than my abs. Looking fwd to next week.

Look worse, but I know I’m swollen. Sick of this compression garment. Also have to keep foam pad on tummy; inside garment.

Both ankles are swollen, but no discoloration. Hmmmmm

Well, the four hour drive with my lower back pressed against the seat was unbearable ! Had to take codeine and a muscle relaxer; and it still didn’t knock me out. The area where laser was inserted on waist and Love handle area are sooo tight and sore. Its unreal !!!!

Took compression garment off for 30 min to take a shower and relax. I SWEAR I looked a tad better on front view; right when I took it off (no pic taken). Can your body start swelling THAT fast? I hate posing pics of my nasty arms, butt and thighs... but I haven’t been able to hit the hard core cardio classes at the gym yet. Ugh. Cant wait to see the Dr. this week

Dr put me in a different compression garment. More like swimsuit since the one with thighs contributed to my ankles swelling. Did my lower back and side pain was just soreness fm swelling and the major pain should stop within a week. Said my current look is 50% swelling so I can have an idea of finished results. For next 30 days no lifting in gym, no stretching (nothing that stretches torso). Can do arm weights, walk, resistance machines for legs. No sit ups, no crunches. The skin needs time to adhere to the fat.

Lots of burning sensations from nerves being damaged by the laser procedure. Been like this a week. Makes my skin on my sides and flank area super sensitive to touch (compression garment hell). I took out the foam pad I’ve been placing inside my garment; on my abdomen. Just needed to not feel so stuffed today.
Updated on 3 Dec 2017:
The compression garment I have leaves about two inches of skin exposed below my boobs. That small area needed compression so I ordered this rib brace and omg it’s perfect to wear with he garment and I feel Im getting compression in each area that had laser Lipo.

I think today was my first day with no moment of pain. Little stiff when I get up from sitting; but I think maybe the swelling is finally on it’s way out! I kept my compression garment on and did hand weights, lunges and squats in my living room. Felt so good that. it didn’t hurt and no sharp nerve pains. Woo hoo!! More tomorrow!!

Was hoping I’d look better. Seems like some swelling on side and lower back has decreased a tad , but my front view is ugly. He should have taken more fat off the upper and lower abs. Gonna hope it keeps improving as I exercise and eat better.

The Oncore body suit has great stage 2 impression on tummy and waist. The Conceal Her body suit case in today and will smooth you out, but no compression panel on tummy like the other; so I’m returning it
Updated on 17 Dec 2017:
Dr said I still had fluid and to stay in stage 1 compression another 7 weeks.
Updated on 24 Dec 2017:
With my Dr. only allowing me to walk for exercise until I reach 8 week mark; I’m unable to get kickin in the gym to fix my nasty thighs and arms. I also know I can tweak what the Lipo didnt fix, in the gym too. So I’m depressed. All I can do is wait two more weeks and then start with machines, weights and classes at the gym. Then wait 30 days after that to see improvement. I hope fluid still in there cuz I looked better the day after surgery vs this six week mark.

Less pain, but progress seems to have ceased. Scheduled first lymphatic massage for next week so she can press on the tissues to relieve them of any retained fluid. Im praying that after one more week of no gym, and after 1 month after being back in the gym; things will start shaping up magically.

Still discomfort when I sit a while and stand up. Having first lymphatic massage today to try to help that. I think my body is pretty much done healing ; so hopefully after 30 days of hitting the gym, my stomach will look better. Not super happy with what I see; for the cost; but I do see the difference fro before.

Still the same as last week. Did half marathon today. No training or prep. Did not wear girdle, but put it on afterwards. I was swelling .afterward and I know I’ll be sore, but I need to get back to being active to get all the flab off thighs, butt; etc. one more month til 90 day Dr visit. .

Think I’m going to need a revision. Too much fat left on my upper and lower abs. Can still pinch a big piece. Took garment off today to see if I swell up or doing sags. That’s the only way to see if I can stop wearing the compression garment. Three month follow up appt with Dr on the 16th.
Updated on 4 Feb 2018:
I took garment off 24 hrs ago to see if I still swell up. It seems like just a tad vs the big swell in the past. Looks like I can stop wearing it finally. Still going to ask for a revision. I expected less fat above and below my belly button.
Updated on 15 Feb 2018:
Going to see surgeon tomorrow to complain that he clearly did not remove enough fat. (1.8 liters) Apparently now that the swelling is gone and I stopped wearing compression garment after 12 weeks; stuff is just really not looking $9000 worth.
Updated on 23 Feb 2018:
Can’t wait for revision in June. He’s going back in below belly button to suck a little more out. In the meantime I should be able to lose 10-15 pounds.

The Revision was June 1st. Just needed him to go back in and take a little more off my tummy. He took out 500ml (half a liter). Really sore, gassy, and constipated this time. Hopefully in 30 days this will look more refined. This recovery should be about 7 weeks compared to the original one.
Updated on 4 Jul 2018:
Tummy is much more level from side view. Front pic has hard impression mark bcuz I just removed compression garment after. 24 hrs.

Time to get out of compression garment. The fat looks even from the side now ( thats why I had revision done). Since no tummy tuck w this procedure ; skin is not tight. So even tho fat removed; you must get ur butt in the gym AND change what u eat; in order to tone up the area you had done. I saw nutritionist today and had metabolic assessment since I need to lose 20 lbs in order to make the lipo look best. I must get inches of fat off my thighs, butt and arms (since lipo was only done on my torso). I won’t post again til I lose weight. Good luck!!
