I hadn’t been to this office in a couple of years, but WOW what a change. It looks as though there may have been some staff change over as well as a refreshed waiting room. The wait time wasn’t bad, about average for a specialist office. My overall visit met my expectations, and I will continue to go there with any skin issues.
I first visited Dr. Abell's office for a break out I was having a few months back. At the office I noticed signs and promotions for cosmetic services. I had been thinking about trying something for my new wrinkles (thank you 30s). I asked the front desk staff about scheduling a consultation. Dr. Abell was wonderful! She took the time to look at my face and pointed out what she noticed. I was able to schedule for the following week to come in for botox injections. Everything was carefully explained to me and they took a bunch of photos so that the results could be seen next time! Dr. Abell took her time and I never felt like she was rushing. Best of all, she doesn't over do it! I was worried I would look overdone like some people I have seen. But she gave just the right amount and I have never felt better! And as an added bonus I received a free microdermabrasion treatment last week! This place really has it all!
Dermaplaning and Microdermabrasion are both really great options when looking for exfoliation. There are some differences in the procedures themselves, so choose the procedure that will have the best outcome for your skin type. Dermaplaning uses a small razor to gently rid the skin of dead skin cells. The light strokes gently remove built up cells and fine hairs that can trap oil and dirt. The end result is a refreshed glow free of fine hairs. Microdermabrasion uses a machine that buffs and polishes the skin in order to remove dead skin cells. This procedure also results in a refreshed look and after a series of treatments, it can reduce the look of wrinkles and unclog pores. You should consult your dermatologist and discuss the benefits that each procedure would have for your skin type.
