I had problems with large breasts at a young age and after my pregnancy of my Son my breasts went from a C to D. Then over the years I ended up with DDD breasts with severe back pain, shoulder pain, and neck pain. I went to see my regular physician and she referred me to Dr. Constantino in Rochester but he said I had to lose weight before he would even consider doing it or taking pictures to send to insurance. Then 3 years went by and my doctor referred me to a surgeon in PA cannot remember his name but he was mean and refused to do my breast reduction because of my scar on my right breast. Then finally on the 4th visit to Dr Dawn Heil in Elmira NY she said she would do it and explained everything in detail. She went over my risks and benefits of having the breast reduction as well as signing the paperwork. She also took measurements and pictures to send to my insurance Fidelis. I was approved very quickly and it felt like a dream. I knew God had answered my prayers. I had bloodwork and mammogram before my surgery as well covid test. Everything came back great! It was the night before surgery and I was so nervous. No one could go with me because of covid and that was scary but then God Blessed me with a Pastor for my car ride to the hospital and he prayed with me. I still was nervous and a nurse walked me up to the surgery room and had me do a kit of washes mouthwash and stuff in my nose as well put in an iv. Then Dr Heil came in and marked me up for surgery and then I was off to surgery. I told the surgery team I was so nervous and they said that they were going to take care of me then I was out. I woke up in recovery with a surgical bra and one to take home for the next day. I was in very excruciating pain and they gave me pain meds. They kept me overnight for observation and I went home the next day. I did not realize how much those IV meds worked until I had none and that is when the pain set in. I then started oozing in both breasts but the left was worse then the other. I was put on antibiotics to get rid of infection and for a month it was painful in my left breast. It was so bad that I couldnt sleep. Then the pain started to subside and doctor gave me antibiotic ointment to wear. Before I knew it my breasts started to lose the swelling and looked better each passing day. I was a 48ddd but after was a 44b. My breasts looked great by 8 months and all healed up. It was rough in the beginning but by the end my breasts looked youthful again and I felt fabulous in every way. God indeed answered my prayers for smaller perkier breasts!

I went for my reduction yesterday and she approved me for surgery. Jut waiting on my Insurance for approval. I have been wanting this for years. I have seen other surgeons. Two said had to lose weight. Another said he wouldn't because of my scar. Dr. Heil in Elmira approve me with my scar and weight. Husband is allowing me o get surgery and supporting my decision. I cannot wait.. Updated on 24 Sep 2020: Today my breast reduction surgery was scheduled for October 30, 2020. So excited and have been wanting this for years. God is blessing me with this beast reduction and cannot wait to have smaller breasts... Updated on 26 Sep 2020: I received my pre-op instruction in the mail today. I have to get ASAP mammogram, then my pre op clearance on October 13,2020 and last COVID test and on October 27, 2020. Surgery is October 30, 2020. I am excited about reduction but nervous about going under anistesia. I had gallbladder surgery last September and was very ill from anistesia. Can you ladies say a prayer for me please. Updated on 2 Oct 2020: Surgery is 30th. Pre op is 13th and Covid test the 27th. I am so scared about Covid test.but Pretty exited about surgery.. Updated on 9 Oct 2020: My pre op is Tuesday already! Getting nervous the closer it gets to surgery. Surgery is the 30th of October. Updated on 13 Oct 2020: My pre op is today! I am excited! Surgery is coming fast. Updated on 17 Oct 2020: My pre op appointment went great and I received my instructions for before surgery. I will be staying one night in the hospital for 23 hrs after surgery. This will be helpful because I live alone. I bought easy microwave meals and ginger ale after surgery. I am excited and nervous about surgery but I know this will be helpful in so many ways as well alleviate my pain. I have been wanting one for years and it took a long time to find a good surgeon who would do my breast reduction surgery because I scar on right breast from 10 years ago breast lumpectomy surgery. Dawn Heil we very kind and informative. Looking forward to surgery. Updated on 21 Oct 2020: It is only 8 days away until m breast reduction and fear is setting in. Fear of not waking up or complications during or after surgery. Can you please pray for me. So scared right now. I have wanted one for years and now it’s becoming reality in 8 days.. Updated on 25 Oct 2020: I a getting excited but still little nervous. I was going to cancel because of fear but now I a going through with surgery and I know God will see me through the surgery too.. Updated on 27 Oct 2020: Had my Covid test today. Started using the dial to keep my chest clean. I have been following the surgery instructions. I cannot believe it’s 3 days away! Nerves are setting in... Updated on 29 Oct 2020: My surgery is tomorrow already and I am excited. No one can go with me because of Covid and my surgeon is keeping me overnight. This will be my 7th surgery. I know I have had surgeries before but just a bit nervous. Anyone having surgery tomorrow? I really need a buddy to help me through this.. Updated on 30 Oct 2020: Had my breast reduction surgery today. Pain is starting. Dr Heil and nurses have been wonderful. Taking great care of me. Updated on 31 Oct 2020: Had my breast reduction surgery yesterday and it was painful through the night and morning but feeling better now. My pain was a 7 but now a 4. I am so glad I had this surgery and my breasts are much smaller and look so much better. Have not seen them without bra yet but looks good with bra. Updated on 1 Nov 2020: I’m still in pain..Been taking my meds and it’s helping my pain. I hav not seen my breast without bra but they look good and small. I could be a b cup, but not sure yet. I have post op visit on 3rd of November. Dr Heil is so nice and from what I can see very exceptional job.. Updated on 3 Nov 2020: Still having a lot o pain I both breast. Left one worse than the right one. Went to my first post op appointment and she change my dressings. Dr Heil was so kind and said hinges looked great. Told me I can take shower and get stitches out in a week. I’m so glad I did this but did not expect so much pain. My back feels so much better. Won’t know size until 6 weeks post op. Was 48 ddd before. I’m hoping for b or c cup. Updated on 5 Nov 2020: I am still hurting but doing better each day. Getting stitches out on 10th. Seen Dr Heil on 3rd and she said I looked great! I think I’m. B cup but not sure. Won’t know until 6 weeks. Will post pics when I get a chance. Best decision ever. Bought close in front bras. So glad I had reduction. I’m actually a 44 C cup. Love my new breasts and I know healing will take some time.. Updated on 11 Nov 2020: I Had stitches out yesterday and Dr Anthony said everything looked okay. He is the other surgeon helping Dr Heil. However on my left breast underneath the wound opened up a bit. Still having a lot of pain as he gave me pain meds for more 5 more days. I was a 48ddd now a 44 c. It was a dramatic change in ice and reduction. Still swollen but It has gone down some. Love my new size. Posting pics of before and after reduction. Updated on 12 Nov 2020: I am having green discharge and pain from left breast. Called surgeon and he told m to call at 80 m to make an appointment with him today. I am so concerned. My right breast is healing very well with only itching. Can you say a prayer for me please? Updated on 12 Nov 2020: I went to my surgeons office yesterday and saw Dr Anthony he is the other surgeon taking care of me. He said there was an infection in both breasts and put me on antibiotic right away. Hopefully the infection will heal and I will be pain free soon. Updated on 19 Nov 2020: Went to surgeons office the other the day and he said my breast opened underneath all the way across. I’m still in a lot of pain and been taking it easy so I can heal. I do love my smaller breasts and I just hope I heal nicely on left side like my right. I know it is going to take some time to heal. Can you please keep me in your prayers? Updated on 3 Dec 2020: I am doing better but sill have infection and opening under left breast. Right breast is healing better and my breasts are starting to look better. At first thought what did I do but now I’m happy I did this. Now my breasts are looking much better.. Updated on 9 Dec 2020: Went to Dr Heil’s and she said everything was healing great. Don’t need to go back until 3 months. I am so glad I had this done even though I had complications in healing. If you are thinking about doing this then I say go for it! You will be so happy you did. I feel so much better physically and mentally.. God Bless Updated on 13 Dec 2020: I went from 48ddd to 44 b.. My breasts are looking and feeling great... I will get pics from doc next appointment for my before me after pics. I don’t have my after yet until 3 months. Ladies it might be painful but it is worth it... If you have any questions do not hesitate to ask me.. God Bless Updated on 18 Jan 2021: I am so glad I had this done! My breast are small and perky. I am a 44 b and my breasts are full. Although I keep getting needle prick sensations in both breasts. Has anyone else had this happen. I’m almost 4 months pot op and I love the results.
