I couldn’t be more pleased with my experience from start to finish. Dr. Wards bedside manner far exceeds any other. Very knowledgeable and puts you at ease. I am so happy with my results, his recommendations were spot on! He and his team also followed up several times during my home recovery time.
My experience from my breast augmentation was good. Not once did I have to go in for exams etc. I have had my implants for 15 + years. They are definitely smaller now. Have to get another surgery for a new set.
I had a wonderful experience with Dr. Ward. He understood what I wanted and advised me to my benefit. His staff is lovely, and very informative. I would highly recommend consulting with him if considering any kind of surgery.
I recently had some surgery performed for Gynecomastia, something I had dealt with ever since puberty. I arrived at my first appointment and was met with nothing but smiles from all the staff. This is something you'd expect when paying thousands, but often times doesn't happen. I met with Dr. Ward who showed me the results of previous patients as well as telling me about the potential risks. I appreciate someone who is upfront about all potential risks and what to expect in terms of healing time. He was thorough and professional. The surgery was pushed ahead as they had a cancellation and I was in surgery 2 weeks after the first appointment. The surgery was on the third floor and went well, with no complications post-op. The post-op nurses weren't the friendliest bunch. However, the bar had been set really high with the staff on the second floor. Overall the experience the day of surgery was good. The huge winners to me is everybody on the second floor of the building. Dr. Ward has assembled an absolutely incredible staff of a nurse, a receptionist, a surgical coordinator and an office manager. I can't stress how important first impressions are and they smashed that impression ball right out of the park. If the first impression was bad I would have gone elsewhere. I hope Dr. Ward knows how incredible his staff really is. So to Kelsey, Gosia, Audra, and Sharon thank you. Thank you for being down to earth, real people who care about their job, but more importantly, care about another human being. I appreciate every single one of you and look forward to seeing you all in 5 months.
Very happy with my results with my tummy tuck and liposuction. 1050 cc of fat removed muscle repair with full tummy tuck. My incision is healing very nicely. Great nurses and organized friendly staff. Second surgery with Dr Ward, I previously had 400 cc breast implants in 2007. I Highly recommend DR Ward to anyone considering cosmetic surgery.
It's one day after my Breast augmentation & I am so happy I went through with it! I was pretty acted & doubting myself a lot the weeks prior to surgery but I read countless blog entries on real self & that very much helped me! One thing is for sure though, my pain tolerance isn't as high as I thought it was! I'm in quite a bit of pain lol I was given Advil 800mg & Tylenol 3s... Which do nothing for me, so that's the only down side! I can Deal with it, I'd just rather be in no pain but no pain no gain?? Right lol Honestly, I feel so complete. My breasts are not even dropped & fluffed yet & I already love them lol I'm so excited for the softening phase to come!! Super happy & if you are thinking of getting yours done--just go for it.. :) I'll post more pics as I progress more. Updated on 14 Jul 2017: Seeing slight differences from day 1-3 which I think is just a tad more swelling but pain is becoming more manageable, which is nice. I think I'm just used to it ???? I'm finally feeling normal though, I was pretty sick yesterday from all the medication & lack of appetite. Kelsey( nurse) gave me a call yesterday & checked in wth me & answered any questions I had--Which helped! So for now, just still taking it easy , patiently waiting for the healing process to do its thing ???? Updated on 16 Jul 2017: It is day 4? Or 5? I'm not really sure, I've been counting wrong since day 1 so just bare with me! My swelling & pain has gone down significantly :) morning boob is all too real & hurts but doesn't last very long after I wake up. Doing arm stretches & all that has really helped with the pain. It's when you go under that muscle ... You don't realize how much you flex your pec in a day until it hurts like a [RS bleep] to do so!!! Still just waiting for the drop & fluff phase... However I have formed a small bruise right by my incision & it's a little worry some... Hoping that it is just normal & nothing to worry about! My post op is on Tuesday & will find out then! Anyways, here's some pics of the last couple days. Updated on 17 Jul 2017: Noticing more change everyday & loving it :) ways to go but I'm enjoying the process. My muscle isn't in much pain anymore, just certain movements give a slight discomfort, I mostly just feel super tight! It's extremely similar to engorgement when I was breastfeeding lol I find myself checking for wet nips!' It's so weird. Updated on 19 Jul 2017: Wow!!! I cant believe the difference. I used to make them look big with a sports bra paired with a bra to give cleavage but I mean yay!!! No effort needed to look full!! I'm just so happy. I feel like a woman. So glad I went through with this. Updated on 20 Jul 2017: Only feeling pain in the mornings still for most of the morning. My right is a lot more swollen still, it's annoying more than painful. Just want both to feel good :P I'm just always worried of getting capsular contracture. Anyways, super glad the nurse Kelsey from dr.wards office is really nice & great with answering any questions I have! I was over thinking today so I called & took pics for her to see so I thought why not post those since their not selfies :) I definitely sometimes wish I was a little bigger but that's the greed talking, cause I know once I am cleared for bras I will love my size!! I like having the option to play them up or down. Updated on 24 Jul 2017: So things are going very well!! The swelling has gone down loads on my left & feeling like my normal self again. The pain when I wake up is almost completely gone, just alittle uncomfortable when I sit up but that's another thing-- I can get up from my back without tossing myself side to side like a turtle on its back, it's amazing lol I know I have a long ways to go before I am dropped & fluffy but I am liking how I look now lol so I hope I still like it when they are lower!!! Anyways here is some pics :) 100% worth the procedure. Updated on 9 Aug 2017: Wow! 4 weeks already.... Life is pretty back to normal pain wise, I do notice a little bit of pain sometimes but I think it's my nerves regaining feeling . I took the strips off a week or so ago& I was so surprised to see that the scar is so perfectly placed in the crease--when I am standing normal you can't see any scar what so ever! Even when I try to see it--its camouflaged to my skin tone?? I hope it stays that way! It was a little bit sticking out at first but as time goes on it is getting flatter. I'm over all super happy with the surgeon I went with--he did an amazing job & my breasts feel soft & more real everyday. They look natural on my body & I am just feeling great with how they look! Updated on 16 Aug 2017: Loving my new boobs more & more everyday... I honestly from day one felt like they were mine & didn't have any anxiety over feeling "foreign objects" in my body. Which I am grateful for! Anyways here's some pics Updated on 16 Aug 2017: Updated on 9 Nov 2017: Just a last check in w how my breast augmentation went! I'm 4 months post opp & it is true when you people say once you get past the first few weeks & pain subsidies it's like nothing happened & time just flies! I sleep on my side & super comfortable everyday. I truly feel like these are my own lol the life like feel is insane!! My husband always says he forgets I got them done :P I'm so happy w my results & 10/10 would recommend to a friend. Updated on 25 May 2018: Almost 1 year post op. It took a while until i felt completely healed, however, I am feeling better than ever ! No small pains, or any discomfort. They just feel like mine. I am overall super happy I got this procedure. dr David ward is amazing, and I am so grateful!! Thank you so much Dr Ward!!

Always wanted to have a fuller chest. I have been happy with the look of my breasts, just wanted them bigger. I started as a B cup and 7 weeks post op I am a 34 F or DDD. Very pleased with my results. They are still a bit high, but I am happy. I was worried about stretch marks, but thankfully I haven't gotten any additional marks since. Amazing, what more can be said about this great man and his staff! I had breast augmentation with a lift and tomorrow morning I have an extended tummy tuck. Phenomenal treatment and the results are flawless!
These are large implants and the tissue must stretch to accommodate. This will take time. It may take as long as 6 to 12 months to achieve the settling and the look that you are hoping for.The implants will continue to sit high until the tissue in the lower portion of the breast stretches and allows the implant to sit lower. At 10 days post op you are not only stretched but swollen. Implants are sitting high.Be patient with your body.Take the time to recover safely. I instruct my patients to avoid cardio until 6 weeks after a breast augmentation.
Not to worry. This should not affect your recovery. I suspect you had good compression of the surgical site with the garment right side up and upside down. I instruct my patients to wear their compression garment for a 3 week period. Please follow the direction of your plastic surgeon. Take it easy, you will need ample recover time from this procedure. I ask my patients to avoid cardio for 6 weeks, lifting for 12 weeks.
I have my patients shower day 4 after surgery. Daily showers after this time include removing any dressing on the umbilicus (belly button), letting the shower water run over the area. I instruct my patients to clean the umbilicus twice daily and to apply an antibiotic ointment. This cleansing is done for 3 days, then the area is left open to the air.
Everything you have described as well as your photos is normal for 4 weeks post op. These are large implants and the tissue must stretch to accommodate a natural looking breast. This will take time. If the tissue on the chest wall is tight before surgery it may take as long as 6 to 12 months to achieve the settling and the look that you are hoping for.The implants will continue to sit high until the tissue in the lower portion of the breast stretches and allows the implant to sit lower. While the implants are high they look very big. This is a normal part of the process and you are not the first patient to be worried about it. The numbness is also normal and is related to the extreme stretching of the tissue. As the tissue relaxes the sensation will return. Be patient with your body, everything seems normal in your recovery.
Getting back to fitness and a healthy Body Mass Index is the first step. Congratulations on that. If you have finished your family a tummy tuck or abdominoplasty would remove the extra skin plus tighten the muscles which have been stretched in your two pregnancies. It is an excellent procedure but does require significant recovery time. I recommend my patients avoid cardio x 6 wks and avoid heavy lifting x 12 weeks. Patients often find it easier to manage if their children are old enough to climb into their car seats on their own and are no longer requiring the crib. If you have lots of help at home you will do fine to have the surgery before that time.
