Oh hey! To make a long story short, I went in for a consultation with Dr. Bauer originally for a breast reduction & a little Lipo in my lower belly. . I’m a hairdresser & own a salon and I have a tremendous amount of mid/lower back pain, and I am just unwilling to take opiates to control the pain. I stand in the same spot for 12 hours and no matter the exercise or weight loss, I feel like I can’t even support myself all day long. Dr. Bauer assured me that my breasts were not the cause of the back pain. He also told me that liposuction alone would most likely make my “hanging” skin worse. I think I might have been in shock because I never really considered the skin to be hanging lol. 15 years ago, I had an ovary & Fallopian tube removal on one side. It was not cancerous, but they did decide to do an 8 inch incision, rather than laparoscopic. Like any 23 year old, I didn’t take care of myself at all. I just sprung back to everyday life as fast as I could. 15 years of not too crazy weight loss…up 30, down 30…and repeat, left me with quite a bit of sagging tummy skin. So, here I am! I did quite a bit of research (all online reviews) about tummy tucks easing pain in the lower/mid back, and decided I wanted to give it a shot. If nothing less, at least I would have a flat tummy! My surgery day was yesterday October 19th, and I am honestly feeling SO much better than I thought I would be. I am not in any pain (which I attribute to the exparel injections). I am very uncomfortable, but again no significant pain. I’ve been able to get up on my own…walk to the use the restroom, get something to drink all the basic things! I did rent an electric lift recliner, and I can not begin to tell you how much you need one of these if you are having a tummy tuck. Life changing as compared to my first abdominal surgery. Stay tuned for more updates along the way!
I had gotten implants 14 years ago when I was 18. I got them huge 425 cc. I'm very small 5' 100 pounds back then. Now I'm 130. Over the years they got super saggy, my nipples stretched and my skin. Dr Bauer gave me a lift with a small implant 175 cc in one and 200 in the other Today is my post OP check up. I love then so far, fit my body perfectly. He was so sweet and his staff. His nurse amber is the bomb. I definitely recommend this dr No regrets.
I am super excited/nervous, for one particular reason. The stretch marks!! I got stretch makes so bad when pregnant. I have small ones on my breast already, but I’m terrified with the drastic size increase it will look like a tiger mauled me. Has anyone had a BA and received stretch marks on your breasts? If so, are they bad, did they lighten? Did it affect the way you liked your new breasts? Updated on 10 May 2018: Today is day one post op of my BA. I went with 500CC in my left s 475 in my right. So far the pain is pretty bad. But I’m making it. They look good. I’ve wanted this for YEARS. Can’t believe I finally have my amazing boobs. I just thought they would “look” biggerz I’m hoping after the swelling goes down they will take on a bigger volume Updated on 10 May 2018: Hello I had my BA yesterday @ 1:30 pm. I got mod. Plus profile and 500CC in my left and 475CC In my right. In a lot of pain, but is slowing getting better. Ironically Tylenol seems to work better than my Demerol. Lol. I’m nervous to take them out of the bra. I’ve wanted this for so long. Can’t believe it’s finally happened. I just hope they look good.
Dr. Bauer came highly recommended to me by a few close friends when I shared I was contemplating breast augmentation surgery. I can see why! Dr. Bauer is a perfectionist who listens to you and works with you to accomplish a common goal. I literally wanted enough to put back into a bra/swimsuit. He took the time to listen to me and we talked about what I was wanting to the point where I felt very comfortable and confident with the job he'd do. He is very meticulous from start to finish and I couldn't be happier with the results.
I have always been self-conscious about my top lip being very disproportionate to my bottom lip. I would try to fix it with lip liner and I just could not do it! I got these done today with Restalyne Silk, and I am 100% impressed with how natural they look! My lips are starting to get sore and swell up a bit but I am confident that it will go back down once I begin icing after work! As you can see in my photo, they look great!
I had a wonderful experience! Dr. Bauer made a stressful situation a lot easier to deal with. I always felt like he listened to me and we were working together to get the results I wanted from my breast reconstruction after my double mastectomy.
My expectations for this revision is for larger higher profile breasts. My first implants 4 years ago, we're too small. I woke up after surgery and was disappointed and ended up wearing padding still! My Dr says he can do up to 600 cc..although I'm wanting 700. I currently have 320 cc. Fingers crossed! Updated on 26 Apr 2016: My nerves!! Updated on 26 Apr 2016: Still waiting Updated on 26 Apr 2016: Feeling a little pain in right breast. Have taken pain meds. Hopefully pain will subside. Csection scar revision is looking good. No pain there Updated on 26 Apr 2016: Bigger implants. Scar & indentation gone! Updated on 3 May 2016: I have 700 cc implants! I was an A cup back in 2012 when I received first BA. So this is quite a positive change. I am very pleased. The only thing I would change is my projection from front, if we're possible I would like a more projected side view and front. I believe the natural round shape of my breast prevented that however. I'm just in awwe and think my surgeon is terrific! ! I was born with lopsided [RS bleep]..he even fixed them they look 100% even!
I started my weight loss journey on March 15, 2015. Reached 50 pounds by July and then had a gallbladder attack. Who knew rapid weight loss hurts your gallbladder?? Lost another 15 and have been at current weight since October. Had gallbladder removed in November after PS said to do that before TT. Six days out and can't decide if I am nervous, excited or just anxious. Surgeon is 3 hours away so I will be spending the first night in a hotel then traveling home the next day. Prior breast reduction will probably keep my girls from being perfect boobies. Just hoping not to lose sensation. I don't want to be bigger....just better. I've had big boobs....don't want to go there again. A large C or small D is my wish. Leaving it up to PS to keep me in proportion. Guess I'll know in a couple of months what I have. Concerned my upper abdomen is fat....he says it is skin.... I must have really thick skin. LOL no lipo so I'm hoping it flattens out. I have one rather pointed rib so I'm anxious to see where I end up. I think I have all my supplies purchased. Going to work all weekend getting things packed, cleaned and organized. I'm a lot OCD so I want everything ready when I get home. I probably have over purchased what I will need but I want as smooth of a recovery as I can get with little stress. Updated on 12 Mar 2016: it is done!! 4.5 hours of surgery. woke up easy. First night would have been great except I could not urinate!!! Finally called PS at 9:00, He was so great!! Met us at his office and put in the cath himself. Saved me an ER bill. Kept the cath overnight, removed it myself the following morning. I have been peeing like crazy since. Staying on my med schedule. Pain is minimal so far. Anxious to see what was done. PS said there wasn't much muscle repair. That might explain why I am not having much pain.Maybe some pictures tomorrow. Updated on 12 Mar 2016: Updated on 17 Mar 2016: All stitches, tape and one drain removed yesterday. 2nd drain will probably come out tomorrow. Tummy looks great so far....I was a little swollen yesterday but that is better today. I bought new sports bras today. Hope these babies go down a cup size.....Feeling great! Pain has been minimal. Boobs hurt more than TT. Wear binder and sports bra 24/7. Return appointment in another week. Ready for the implants to drop and fluff to final results. Updated on 20 Mar 2016: Removed 2nd drain on day 8. Less than 20 output. Kinda feel like I'm swelling in upper ab. Could be my diet but trying to clean that up today. Found a stitch on my left breast. It is black around the stitch. Dead tissue or glue??? Praying for a scab or glue. Will call PS on Monday. Could this be a dissolvable stitch?? I have black flecks and really thin black lines on my breasts. Kinda obsessing. Updated on 3 May 2016: I developed a seroma on my upper abs. Aspirated 3 times over 6 weeks. At last visit Dr. Bauer said the small amount of fluid would go away on it's own. He released me to return annually. I'm very satisfied with my results. If I can get these 8 pounds off that I have gained I think it will be just what I wanted. My recovery was very easy. I had very little muscle separation which may be why I had minimal pain. Breasts feel very natural. I had a breast reduction 20 years ago. I am anxious to see my final results in the next few months. Much firmer and fullness in upper pole is back. Feeling great. PS said I could go without my binder or wean myself out of it. I have been wearing Spanx during the day and I sleep without compression garment. Sleep is SO much better.
I finally got the guts to do some research to improve my breast. I went to 5 consultations to be saddenly told I needed a breast lift and implants. This disappointed me because like everyone who needs a lift, "lift scars" were my biggest concern. Three of the five Surgeons wanted to do separate procedures but I refused. I was finally recommended to a Surgeon who is known to do a great job at doing the lift/implant procedure at the same time by another surgeon. I met with him and he was great! He listened to what I wanted, he was very educational, and he had the confidence I wanted to see in a surgeon. So I scheduled my procedure! (May 28, 2015) I'm still very early post op but my incision scars are fading well and so far I'm very pleased with the size. Updated on 12 Jul 2015: Ok! I'm 6 weeks post op! My implants are still high but they are falling gradually... They look better as every day goes by!!! My scars are really itchy right now and it's taking all I have not to scratch. I put Mederma on my scars (anchor incision) and they are healing well...
I had always had a small chest but while I had hoped to grow more, I didn't and eventually came to terms with my small bust. Then, I had a child whom I breastfed for one full year. My breasts dramatically changed. My right breast produced more milk and grew a lot. Then when I stopped, both went down to their normal size but the right one became much more droopy. I had a slightly tuberous breast on the left before and my PS thought that I would need a small lift to improve the look of my breasts but he didn't end up needing to. I'm one day post op now. Still sore and swollen but I think he did a wonderful job! Updated on 6 May 2015: Updated on 7 May 2015: Anyone have any advice out there on clothes to wear post operation when you go back into the real world? I've been living in my zip front jacket and yoga pants but am planning on getting out and about soon.
Your inframammary crease determines the position of your nipple. That being said, the final position is usually deterrmined at surgery. I would let your surgeon know what your wishes are, but you should leave the final positioning to his discretion at surgery. Be careful trying to use an implant to lift or take up the loose skin. You will often end up being larger than you planned, and have a greater tendency to droop. Be sure to ask to see some pictures of your surgeon's work.
It is difficult to say what an implant will look like on you without examining you or seeing your pictures, but i would not worry bout 300cc's being too large. With your height, you should easily be able to handle 300 cc's, if not even a little larger. There is very little difference between 275 and 300, so i would always lean toward the larger.
Correcting breast asymmetry can be very challanging, but it can aloso be very rewarding. The results will vary greatly depending on the degree of asymmetry. Without seeing your pictures, it is difficult to give you specifics. I would recommend seeing someone who specializes in breast surgery.
You can add another 30 cc's to that implant, but that is about all. It will make that implant a little more firm than the other, but that may not be noticeable. If you really want to be bigger on both sides ,then you will probably need to change the implants. Usually you would want to go up 2 or 3 sizes in implant to make a noticeable difference. You may also want to consider using a different profile of implant that may fit your chest better.
I have never heard of this either. I cannot imagine how this would help, and potentially could cause some damage. The shape is created at surgery, so if it does not look good on the operating table, it will probably not look good later. Occasionally i do use a strap to help push the implants down if they are riding high, but otherwise i let nature take its course.
