I'm glad I finally did this. I'd been noticing hollow under eyes and bags for a couple of years and I was feeling tired looking and down about it. It was all I could see when I looked in the mirror. Sad to say, I was obsessing over it. The procedure was easy. They numbed my face with a cream and the RN used a little ice. She was very gentle. I think what they did was very subtle but it has made me feel so much better about myself. I got one small bruise but it's only been a week and it kind of looks like a sexy beauty mark lol so I don't mind much and I'd take a tiny bruise over tired eyes. I also did my nasal area. My nasal area wasn't too pronounced so the results are very subtle. Have a professional do yours. Mine was a registered nurse. DO this! I was walking on air the first weekend I went out. I will have this done again so I have a fund started. I provided some photos without makeup. Updated on 15 May 2015: I'm still loving my eyes and the small bruise is quickly fading. Here is a non makeup photo. Updated on 15 May 2015: I'm very pleased with how natural it looks in the sun.
Retin A works and you have to use it for an extended period of time, although, just after a week my face looked very smooth. It makes your face red for a little bit and that's why I apply it at night to my face and neck. I don't really notice any burning or stinging, just a teeny bit of tightness, which is tolerable. I got a few red bumps here and there but they aren't awful(I've always suffered from acne). It makes my face a little dry with some peeling. In the day I use a 12% glycolic moisturizer, which can be purchased online with my Derm Dr.Alkek in addition to that I use a little Vanicream Light, which can be found on Walgreens, fragrance free. I use equal pea sized amounts and smooth over face. Glycolic acid is also very good for repairing skin texture.
Less expensive but you get what you pay for.
