Hymenal tags are usually removed under local anesthesia.&nbsp; Your doctor may not have&nbsp;a set up in his or her office to remove these.&nbsp; The discomfort from the local anesthetic is brief, and the procedure should be over in less than 5 minutes, even if the tag is large.

I ask because the doctor said it was too large to remove in the office and would be more comfortable under general.

Your description of splinting with bowel movement and loss of muscle tone indicate a injury to the pelvic floor musculature after childbirth. &nbsp;A grade 3 rectocele means that the posterior vaginal tissue in prolapsing or bulging beyond the vaginal opening. &nbsp;Since your urogynecolgist says your "measurements" are normal and you say nothing is "hanging out", I would be concerned that you have other issues that are not being addressed, such as nerve damage to the pelvic floor and rectal descent. Both of these problems would not be addressed with a rectocele repair. &nbsp; I think you need to get a third opinion from a competent pelvic floor surgeon, as an improperly performed surgery may leave you with pain during sex from scar tissue and continued symptoms.&nbsp;

I don't feel like I'm tight after 2 vag deliveries. I can't feel sex, my rectocele effects BM's, I have to "splint". when I wipe I feel like I could fit my whole hand in my birth canal. Nothing is hanging out I can hold a tampon in. I just can't get any traction on my clitoris when my partner is inside bc there is no muscle tone posterior. Why won't the Urogyn fix it? Should I just let my OB/GYN fix it? What procedure do I need? The uro took measurements and said all was fine. I dont feel fine.

My surgeons don't agree on a rectocele repair. My OB/Gyn said I'm a level 3 and need one. The Urogynecologist said I'm normal

Your picture shows large hymenal remnants or tags. &nbsp;Normally these don't bleed or become irritated. Before you remove these you should make sure these are the source of pain with sex and not another problem like scarring after your delivery. &nbsp;A careful exam by a physician can determine if these are the source of your problem. &nbsp;Cosmetically they would be easy to remove in the office under local anesthesia.

This i know for a fact hasn't always been this way. I do have a child if that helps. I had my son years ago. I am 25 years old. I need to know what's hanging? I have never noticed this before.. It hurts to have sex it rubs and bleeds. Can a gynaecologist take this off? Or do I need surgery

Your solution requires a physical examination and urodynamic (bladder function testing) to determine the best solution. &nbsp;Urinary incontinence is NOT treated by vaginal rejuvenation. &nbsp; Some types of incontinence may be treated as an in office treatment with Femilift or Mona Lisa vaginal lasers to tighten up the tissue around the urethra. &nbsp;The laser resurfacing procedures also tighten the vagina. Many women, however, &nbsp;have significant &nbsp;dropping of the bladder from vaginal deliveries and may require a lift of the bladder and urethra. &nbsp;Small slings under the urethra have a very high success rate and are performed as an outpatient procedure. These surgeries are performed by gynecologists or urologists. &nbsp;Incontinence surgery is usually covered by insurance as it is not a cosmetic procedure.

Femilift and Mona Lisa are lasers that were introduced last year for vaginal resurfacing, with documented results in successfully treating vaginal atrophy, dryness, and laxity. &nbsp;I use the Femilift laser and have had great results for treating dryness, vaginal tightening and treatment of urinary leakage. Thermiva uses radiofrequency energy instead of laser. Since it is newer there are limited studies of its clinical effectiveness in resurfacing the vagina. &nbsp;Time will tell if it is as effective as Femilift or Mona Lisa.

I was having urine leakage while laughing, sneezing, coughing and working out. Also, both my husband and I had noticed less sensation during intercourse.
