Immediately after surgery I could already feel that my breathing had improved. Not only is he an excellent surgeon, but he’s also very caring as a person. He gave me his cell phone number and called me immediately after I had texted him about my pain control/ uncomfortable splints. He changed my appt to one day earlier so I could get the splints out and genuinely cares about how his patients are doing. Highly recommend!
Dr Becker performed my septo rhinoplasty and he’s been SO great all along the way! He fit me in kinda last minute which was really appreciated and from the day my cast came off I havent stopped smiling I’m so in love with my new nose! He’s the best :)
Dr. Becker and his staff demonstrated patience and kindness with me throughout my entire experience. After participating in contact sports for several years I developed breathing issues and cosmetic concerns. After surgery , my breathing improved dramatically and my nose looks brand new. I couldn’t have asked for anything more. Thank you Dr. Becker , I appreciate you
This was my 2nd procedure with Dr. Becker, and once again he does not disappoint. What's more important than the results for me is that I know Dr. Becker always has my best interest at heart. He is truly in a class of his own when it comes to patient care and his commitment to his craft. Could another "plastic" surgeon have done the same thing?... Sure but Dr. Becker cares about the function just as much as he does the appearance where I don't consider him a "plastic" surgeon but rather an all around expert doctor. When it comes to the E, N, or T, he can school any plastic surgeon but can't say the same thing the other way around.
Amazing experience with Dr.Becker!!!!! He always made me feel comfortable, listened to every one of my concerns, and made himself available at any hour of the day for questions. I’m 3 weeks post op from my septoplasty/rhinoplasty and love my new nose already!!! Not to mention my breathing has already significantly improved.
Dr Becker is absolutely amazing. I cannot say enough good things about him. I am a high fashion model who had a very successful career for decades. I am also the front woman of a band. I needed to be perfected, but not changed as my face was recognizable within the industry and to my clients/fans. I am an obsessive perfectionist, so I saw many doctors in NYC before I decided. I had many referrals from top people in fashion--but none of the doctor's work compare too Dr. Beckers before and after photos on his website. I went all the way to New Jersey to see him. He was so kind, has the absolute best bedside manner, even saw me twice free of charge. His facility was so much cleaner, nicer and more organized than anything I saw in NYC where I live. I also loved that he ONLY DOES NOSES. (I mean common sense says in order to perfect something you must focus on one thing) DR. Becker's were helpful and suggested hotels in the area for my quick recovery. The price of my surgery was a bit more than some top NYC doctors, but he was worth every penny. Since my surgery, I have referred him to two of my friends and they are so happy. My surgery was 10 years ago and I still keep in touch with Dr. Becker. I am considering a facelift these days and he has kindly guided me to other doctors. I wish he did facelifts too. I consider him a friend now. He is one of a kind. I would also write this on his website and post pictures of my nose, but I am trying to protect my identity (hence the Golden Girls alias LOL) (Dr. Becker if you are reading this you know who this is! I love you to bits!)
Dr. Becker is INCREDIBLE. I am 20 years old and have disliked my nose for years. Dr. Becker was kind, caring, gentle and completely changed my face. I could not be happier about my decision to have him perform the surgery and would highly recommend him to anyone who is interested in rhinoplasty. I attached before and after pictures, the “after” shots were taken 2 months post op. SO worth it! He is the best
I had an incredible experience with Doctor Becker and his staff! They were extremely patient and considerate when explaining the process and recovery to me. When I first met with him, he made sure the final product would look exactly as I expected and made sure all of my expectations could be met. Looking back, there is absolutely nothing I would change about the experience I had. Doctor Becker and his staff were able to give me the nose I always dreamed of and I am forever grateful for that.
I had a rhinoplasty procedure performed by Dr. Becker; I had the bump removed from the bridge of my nose. I chose this doctor based on a referral and further readings from these reviews. Once meeting Dr. Becker in person not only was my curiosity satisfied but my nervousness ceased. I'm a little over 40 and have never had surgery. I'm glad I chose Dr. Becker to perform this procedure, just wish I did it sooner. Thank you Dr. Becker; you're a professional artist/doctor and a true gentleman.
I always knew my nose was broken. I had a bump on one side and my septum was twisted. I went to the doctor and just as I expected, I had a deviated septum, broken nose, and enlarged turbinates which prevented me from breathing clearly. I decided to get a septoplasty as well as a rhinoplasty. The surgery went well, and the recovery was good too. There's. it much pain, just a lot of swelling and bruising. There is more discomfort than pain. Being a week later, I am so happy with my results and I can't wait for all of the swelling to subside so I can see the finished product :)
If you are still having trouble breathing 7 months after surgery, it is not a cold. There can be a number of contributing factors. I recommend an evaluation by a surgeon who specializes both in functional and cosmetic issues. In some cases the rhinoplasty specialist will seek the help of an ENT colleague who specializes in "inside the nose" issues. However in your situation there may be some issues directly related to the surgery that they might not appreciate fully. A cosmetic rhinoplasty surgeon who is "double board certified" in Facial Plastic Surgery and also ENT who actively treats cosmetic and functional issues will be able to evaluate and treat the inside and outside of your nose. I am one such surgeon, and of course there are a substantial number of surgeons like me. Good luck!
Not sure exactly why you are bleeding. There can still be some intermittent bleeding but "constant" bleeding is unusual. I would recommend that you contact your surgeon and let them know.
You seem to be a good candidate for rhinoplasty. Of course, the next step would be an office visit with a rhinoplasty specialist. A skillful rhinoplasty specialist will carefully listen to your concerns, examine you, perform computer imaging, and then with this information, they will be able to give you a more educated opinion as to whether you are a good candidate for rhinoplasty, what would be involved, etc... Good luck!
Your pictures demonstrate a left caudal septal deviation, this is causing a significant obstruction to the left side. Whether or not there is another issue as described by your family doctor, that would require an examination in the office. Keep in mind that there may be some internal structures hat may be factors in your nasal breathing. For your appearance, we recommend a discussion complemented by computer imaging so that surgeon and patient can agree on a shared surgical goal. We require this of all cosmetic rhinoplasty patients. On that basis we can discuss the nature of any planned surgery in detail. For your breathing issues we recommend evaluation by a specialist in functional issues. In some cases the rhinoplasty specialist will seek the help of an ENT colleague who specializes in "inside the nose" issues. In other cases, a cosmetic rhinoplasty surgeon will be "double board certified" in Facial Plastic Surgery and also ENT and will be able to evaluate and treat the inside and outside of your nose. I am one such surgeon, and of course there are a substantial number of surgeons like me. In any case, I hope that answers your questions. Good luck!
I have operated on a number of professional models, who have related to me that after surgery by me they have been able to go back to work in 1-2 weeks. (Some felt ready in 1 week, some in 2). We do a number of things in all patients to minimize down time, and patients have been generally pleased. Of course this can vary from surgeon to surgeon and you should ask your surgeon what they would expect your down time will be.
