Daniel Ezra is a consultant at the Adnexal Department at Moorfields Eye Hospital where he specialises in all aspects of cosmetic and reconstructive eyelid surgery . He is also the research lead and Service Director for the department and runs the botulinum toxin service dealing predominantly with abnormalities of eyelid twitching and facial paralysis. He deals with all aspects of blepharoplasty surgery and has a special interest in revision procedures.
When you come and see Mr. Ezra for the first time, you will have a full and detailed history taken which will include your medical history and also a discussion of your goals of any prospective surgery. You will also be counselled on what the expected outcomes may be to ensure that your expectations are realistic and achievable. An essential aspect of the consultation is an evaluation of older photographs to ensure that surgery is planned to suit your facial features and history and to ensure that you still look like ‘you’............

After 1 year of scars healing nicely there were nevertheless fat pads that grew where the scars were healing so I went back to Ezra Clinic and discussed this with Daniel. Apparently it is quite common for the eyelids to "store fat" from time to time.
