52 Yrs Old - Open Septoplasty, Turbinate Cauterization, and Nasal Valve Collapse - Trifecta :-) - Glen Ellyn, IL

I've had difficulty breathing through my nose for years. Even the slightest cold has me plugged up. In addition I have very severe obstructive sleep apnea. I haven't seen the bill....but I do know the insurance will be covering 90%. I just received a call from my doctor that they are moving my surgery from the surgical center to a local hospital due to my sleep apnea. I'll now be staying overnight. Has anyone else had these 3 procedures at the same time? Updated on 31 Mar 2016: My experience very closely resembles most others with the same procedure. The first week post-op was miserable...but the pain meds made it tolerable. The most important things is to take the meds as prescribed and use your nasal saline spray/rinse 5+ times a day. When I had the splints and cast removed 7 days post-op my nose cavities felt wide open. Since that time they have closed a bit and I have congestion. I hope this clears up. Each morning I rinse out my sinuses well with NetiPot and use the saline spray ~ 5 times throughout the day. My nose is still slightly swollen in the inside and feels dry, raw and irritated on the inside. Again, hoping this clears up over the next 3-4 weeks.
