You are absolutely right. Botox is used to “relax” the muscles, however, we can use this to our advantage when lifting the eyebrows. There is a fine balance between the forehead muscles that naturally act to lift the brows, and the “frown” and surrounding eye muscles that pull down on certain parts of the brows. If you weaken those muscles that pull in and down on the eyebrows and allow the muscles that pull up on the brows to act in a more unopposed manner, this can in turn create a brow lift. On the other hand, if too much botulinum toxin is placed in the forehead muscles and none/not enough is placed in the frown muscles, this can make your brows and eyelids feel heavy, and can make you look and feel tired.
