Seven years ago, I had lipo, a tummy tuck and a breast augmentation in Cancun. I was supposed to have a BBL too, but I was under anesthesia for too long so my surgeon wasn't able to. My butt was already shaped weird from genetics, but the bit of lipo they did on it made it worse. So I've dealt with it, hiding it under clothes since then. My tummy tuck was also a little weird. I have fibrosis on the front of both hips which feels both painful and numb. I also have loose skin and fat, and a vertical fold, above my belly button, and in some clothing it looks like an extra set of boobs. So I sought out quotes from a few doctors whose work I liked and eventually decided on Dra. Disla. I feel she is safe, prefer to work with a female surgeon, and I aesthetically enjoy the waist-hip shapes she gives. I'm leaving for the DR tomorrow, and my surgery is Thursday, April 4. I'll keep this updated with all the ugly details because that's the sort of review I like to read too. Updated on 3 Apr 2024: I flew into the DR yesterday and did my labs. Today, I met with a cardiologist, pulmonologist, anesthesiologist, and Dra Disla’s assistant. Paid for everything. Surgery is tomorrow at 10am! I have to take all of my piercings out - I’ll be replacing them with bioplast retainers so the newer ones won’t close. Updated on 10 Apr 2024: Wednesday: Went to CIPLA and saw a cardiologist and pulmonologist for heart and breathing tests. I then had my preop with Dra Disla’s assistants. Didn’t get to meet the doctor that day. My hemoglobin from the labs I did the night before was 14.5. Thursday: Went to the clinic (Escaño, kind of eugh looking, not the nice one I had my preop at) for my 10am time. Spend time waiting around and being nervous, had an IV placed and was finally taken up to a room. The doctor came in and marked me up and took pictures. I didn’t have an opportunity to say much to her about what I wanted, unfortunately. I asked for a heart-shaped butt and she said, “We’ll see what shape we can get with the fat that you have.” Eventually I was wheeled through the halls of the clinic and then was walked into the surgery room. I got on the table, the anesthesiologist added something to my IV, then I was out. I either woke up during surgery or I dreamed that I woke up during surgery. I have very vague memories of telling someone “I’m awake” a few times. When I actually woke up from surgery I immediately updated my poor worried partner. Then I threw up some bile and napped on and off. I got one bag of blood because of how pale I was. I was super itchy, I guess I had a reaction to the anesthesia. the itchiness persisted for several days after. It was quite annoying. I was worried that nothing was done to my butt because it didn’t hurt and there weren’t bandages on it. I looked once my overnight nurse put me into my faja, and I took some pictures, and the butt problem areas (lower part pancakey) still looked the same to me. I had a crease up the center of my abdomen above my belly button, just like I did for my previous surgery, and I worried that my “second set of boobs“ was not gone, as that was another goal from the tummy tuck revision. Also, the bottoms of my breasts were very bruised, dark purple, and there was a suture in the crease of my left breast. Got back to the recovery house and slept for a while. The faja was very tight around my ribs and hurt. I was still very itchy. Friday: Perpetually uncomfortable. Very itchy, much pain. Watched Netflix with my RH roommate. Saturday: Miserable. Hurting and uncomfortable. I kind of crashed downstairs and the nurses laid me down and stabilized me. I was taken out of my faja until my Monday appointment because it was digging into my ribs so badly and I couldn't breathe. Then I was OK but still very uncomfortable. They got us pizza for dinner that night, but I was still too bloated and uncomfortable to eat. I took one sad little bite and had to leave the rest. Sunday: Started the day feeling like crap. I slept badly. The previous night I was up like every hour or two peeing and adjusting my sleeping position. It was so very hot even in my air conditioned room. (I’m not fun to be around when I'm hot and in pain.) I felt very homesick and missed my partner and cats. I only ate a little of breakfast and lunch. HOWEVER, I somehow found the mental strength to complete four homework assignments that were due that day, so I was happy to have that over with. Then I started feeling somewhat better. I put on a bra and underwear and put my regular piercings (7 + stretched ears) back in. Watched more Wednesday with my roommate. I was a little dizzy but not so horribly hot. Monday: I put on a dress and makeup for my first follow-up appointment, which was at Escaño. Saw my surgeon again very briefly. She’s quite busy but I would have appreciated more time to talk. The assistant changed my dressing and I got dizzy. Lots of walking through the clinic and taking the elevator and waiting around and being hot. Then I had to get my blood drawn for hemo again. Spending that much time on my feet made my abdominal muscles and incision hurt and I got dizzy again. When they were done taking blood, I sat down on a random rolling stool and read on my kindle until my driver arrived. Though I asked earlier, my doctor’s assistant didn’t tell me my hemo results until that evening so Oz (runs the RH and does the massages) was gone and I couldn’t get a massage that day. Tuesday: Faja still so tight and painful around my ribs. Buuut it wasn’t so hot that day. I worked remotely and watched Netflix. Went out with one of the other girls and got my nails done that evening. I had hoped we’d go to a mall, because I wanted to buy a couple of things, but we didn’t. I spent more time looking and taking photos of my body. I liked my hips but was not happy with my butt at all. It’s still squared off and weird. I texted my surgeon and she said it’s too soon to see. I don’t believe that, though, because it doesn’t seem like she did anything at all to the bottom part of my butt. No fat injected whatsoever. Had my first massage. Very little fluid came out. I’m constantly adjusting my faja around my ribcage because it’s both painful and itchy at the same time. Wednesday: Worked remotely today too. Started trying to accept my results and failure to get my ass fixed. I get better hips and waist and a properly healed tummy tuck out of this, and my second boobs gone, that's good right? Things won't shift that drastically. I can see the shape it's going to settle into. I'm not going to gain any fullness in the flat lower regions because she didn't really inject fat there. Those areas aren't sore or bruised. I’m definitely going to need a round 3. Had my second massage. Nothing really came out this time, either. I’m going to try to go shopping tomorrow! Will post more then, too. Just haven’t been feeling up to updating until now when I can’t sleep. Updated on 10 Apr 2024:
I went to Disla on 6/11/21.. that’s busy season so my surgery got pushed back.. Her asistant Yoryina is very unorganized, I didn’t see Dra Disla until the day of my surgery and that was the first and last time I saw her. I received lipo 360, bbl and arm lipo. I’m 5’4 ft I weighed 168 pounds going in. The lipo could have been better one side is more aggressive then the other. Plus I wished she gave me more booty.. so I’m going to have a round 2 with another doctor next year . She is a good doctor just go during slow season that way the body isn’t rushed.
Dr Disla is professional and put her patient's safety at the top of her priorities. I got a tummy tuck and at 61years of age I was almost at her age cut off. She took every precaution to make sure I was a good candidate for a tummy as she is all about her patient's safety. I had to take a battery of test before she gave me the green light. She took great care of me and I appreciate her.
Dra Disla honest straight forward. My iron level was 12.5 I needed 13-13.5 and wanted bbl, breast lift with implants she told me to pick only one procedure or nothing at all.I decided to do a bbl happy
I had WhatsApp consultation and she was fast and straight forward She’s not a women to lie to about what she can do . I don’t want tummy tuck and she point blank told me she might not be able to give perfect body . She’s honest and In this industry you need more people who are brutally honest
Dr. Disla is simply amazing!!!! I went to her in December 2019 and it was the best decision I've ever made. She perfected what I already had. I will forever be greatful to her & recommend her 1000%!!!!! I went to her for breast reduction and bbl. Due to the fact that I have the breast cancer gene she didnt feel comfortable touching my breasts and even sent me to an oncologist to get clearance. I loved that because if it would have been another doctor, he/she would have operated on me just for the money. For my bbl she gave me exactly wha I asked for & i couldnt be happier.
Dra Cynthia Disla. She is a great doctor very honest & takes care of you from beginning to end. She doesnt do 6+ surgeries a day which is even better, i believe she told me she does 2-3 a day max. Speaks good english also
I’ve been contemplating surgery for years finally I’m doing it. I’ve settled on Disla she works very well with women my size. I got a quote for TT, lipo, and Bbl. Although I’m debating on getting the whole MMO. I would like a reduction and breast lift. I’m booked with Dr. Recovery house. I’ve been taking my vitamins for over a month now. My hemo level was 11.5 last month. I will return to my dr. Next week I’m hoping it has risen

After 3 days there is no way to talk about results in a breast augmentation with implants behind muscle . The aspect you see now will change a lot as the muscle goes relaxing and permitting the implant locate in the lower poles , The action of the muscles will depend on the swollen tissues and the force of the muscle bringing up the implant , AS the days pass by if you wear the eslastic band correctly with permanent use of at least 2 to 3 weeks depending on the evlocution of location of implant , the shape of your breast will be different and until that moment you can not appreciate any assymetry of volumen or shape of your breasts
It is still too early to be expecting outcomes , of course the difference but overall pain and swelling on your right breast it is a clear indication to go and see your PS , it looks those implants are under the muscle and sometimes the active action of the muscle makes the implant to migrate to the upper poles of the breast needing an elastic band to enforce the implant to descend to the inferior fold wich is the location that needs to be , sometimes hematomes or seroma can make a deformation of the breast and this will need to be drained , the best for you is an inmediate evaluation by your PS and He or she will tell you what is going on and what would be next step
IT would be great if you could add some pics presenting the problem ,Usually after 6 months the remaining swollen is not so evident eventhough there is still a bit but very discret and generally not obvious . With the pics we could appreciate if there is a seroma or any other type of late complication .
It seems you went through a bad surgical selection when you had your liposuction , because the type of your skin, extra skin and laxity was expectable to obtain this deformities just having a liposuction , when there is extra skin the first recommendation is the resection of the flaps with the tummy tuck . After 1 year and 3 month if you are unconfortable with your results , it is an excellent time to get it fixed with a tummy tuck with muscle repair combined with liposcution
Looking at your pictures you are an excellent patient for this surgical option, but is not only what we look what makes you a good candidate there are some special considerations as hemoglobin levels , ( it should be higher than 12.5 ) habit of smoking wich makes you not such as good candidate . Some recommendations if you smoke stop smoking for at least 1 to 3 months before plans of surgery and pay attention to hemoglobin before surgery! .African american patients are great patients for a great body after plastic surgery . i am not agree with the lollypop i think you will need a short j incision but for this you need a personal evaluation. Good luck with your projects
