Every case is different and requires different things, but I've had Invisalign patients move or leave the country for extended periods, but continue wearing their aligners and their cases turned out fine. I had a patient that had to be in Hawaii for work for 8 months. I gave her 8 months of aligners, she would email us photos of her teeth that she took with her iphone so that we could monitor her progress, and when she returned everything looked great. So, generally speaking yes it can be done. However, you'll have to ask your orthodontist if this would work for your specific case. Hope that helps!
In order to properly diagnose and treatment plan your case, an Orthodontist would need to do an exam and take the proper xrays to look at your jaw bones and angulation of teeth. Only then could your question be answered. I would seek an orthodontic consultation before doing anything. The great news is that most orthodontists do all of that for free! I know I do.
