Hi — The amount of swelling from MiraDry can vary and if severe could go down to your elbow. The swelling should slowly resolve over two weeks time. I am speaking from experience as a physician who does the treatment, but also as someone who had the treatment (so I understand your concern.) You can also experience numbness in the area which will resolve but again varies in the time. This may be teo weeks or up to six weeks. As far as the swelling, if there are no signs of infection ( warmth or very red in the area), this will go away over time. If you have concerns that infection may be present,you should ask your physician's office that did the procedure to take a look at it. Claudia Gaughf, MD
