The moving reality may not be as Clear (no pun intended) : In my experience Invisalign (or any clear trays orthodontic system) is wonderful for up/ down, left/ right straight movement, however as torque is needed for rotations, metal/ porcelain braces with wire win hands down, in precision and efficiency. With wire braces, the movement is precise, as to direction and tension, which naturally tends to result in optimal tooth position, optimal bone formation and stability. Occlusion (bite) particularly becomes the end result which justifies the time in treatment. In my experience, orthodontic movement controlled by wire braces, is aimed at not only aligning teeth in the arch but also relationship with the opposing arch. Hence, in my experience, a complete case has an equilibrated occlusion (bite), with respective maintenance retainers.
