I went to Dr Steele for a mole check and acne consultation. She removed 3 miles for testing and recommended a few options to treat bumps and acne on my face. She numbed each spot and scraped the miles off. Looked over all of my other miles with a special light. She then looked over my face and prescribed medicine and a treatment option to remove Milia. She has an excellent bedside manner and is very warm. I would highly recommend her.
I had a lower blepharoplasty in April 2018 and while my results were very nice I wanted to complement them with a little filler . I had some hollowness under my eyes ( more cheek area). So I can across the beautiful, talented and intelligent Dr. Chynna Steele. I had a bad prior experience with a plastic surgeon and filler ( not the one who did my bleph ) . So I was very wary but Dr. Steele made me feel at ease Updated on 30 Aug 2018: Dr. Steele answered all of my questions and we decided on restalyne. She did explain that the filler would not help with the discoloration i was having but would remove shadowing . She also recommended an eye cream/concealer that i purchased from her office that also will help with the color issues I’m having . She number my face topically for about 30 mins and then injected me with both a cannula and syringe. It wasn’t painfully but a little uncomfy . She did tell me to expect some minor bruising and swelling, which I do have . I can’t wait to see the final result . So far so good . I will visit her in two weeks to make any adjustments if needed . Updated on 6 Sep 2018: Updated on 1 Dec 2018: Had a huge lump of restalyne on corner of eye when I smiled . Had to have it dissolved . I do not recommend her for tear trough fillers . Maybe something else but not fillers . I went to a plastic surgeon to dissolve and didn’t have to say a word he knew right where the lump was .
Filler placement really takes an artistic eye to be able to make sure that the result is even and pleasing. It would be best to wait another week or so to see what the result will look like after the swelling has resolved. Sometimes the swelling that you get after a filler is asymmetric, but the amount of product placed was not. Most people start off with a bit of natural asymmetry in the face, so it may require a little more/less filler on each side. If it does need some fine tuning, it should not be difficult to do for a skilled physician in your area.
I see my patients in follow up 2 weeks after lip augmentation. At that point, most to all of the swelling has resolved and we can truly see the effect of the initial augmentation and make a good decision about whether or not to do more.
Your scar is still very young and sounds like it is doing very well. Avoid rubbing or picking at the area, it will likely heal best if it is left alone to heal and kept covered and out of sun exposure. I would avoid any vitamin E oil or other scar treatment for now. Call your doctor if you feel like it is itchy, painful or there is an expanding area of redness around the area--this may mean an infection or allergic reaction. Otherwise, it sounds normal!
