The price for for lip augmentation usually ranges from $475 (single 0.5mL syringe of Juvederm Volbella) to $950, depending on which filler product and amount is deemed most appropriate to achieve the individual patient's desired look.  Juvederm Volbella, Juvederm Ultra XC, and Restylane Silk are some of my favorite fillers for the lips.  Most patients will be happy with 1mL of the appropriately selected and injected filler in their lips.  Occasionally, up to 1mL of additional filler may be desired.   

Cost of chin implant varies geographically, but $3400 will gets it done in our office cosmetic procedure suite. 

Most swelling and bruising are improving by the end of the second week postoperatively, but numbness may take several weeks to months longer.  The small skin nerves that give sensation to the face need longer to heal but usually recover without complication.  I recommend using arnica and vitamin C orally for two weeks before and at least two weeks after surgery to help minimize bruising and swelling and to expedite their resolution.  Also important is maintaining head elevation and limiting strenuous activity to give you a chance to heal more quickly.  I recommend close follow up with your surgeon so he or she may address your specific concerns.

This is one of the most common questions I hear from patients seeking consultation for facelift.  The technique used for the facelift and individual patient factors (like genetics, skin elasticity, diet/lifestyle choices, smoking, sun exposure, etc) may impact how long a facelift result is maintained.  The duration ranges from a year to ten years.  A deep plane facelift, which I prefer as the gold standard, should take about 10 years off a patient's face and last 8-10 years on average.  Other facelift approaches, which involve less dissection and elevation of the SMAS may only give a few years of benefit.  A facelift does not suspend the aging process but does help "set back the clock" so to speak.  Though the patient will continue to age after the facelift, they typically continue to appear 8-10 years younger than their same age peers.

No, shaving your head will not affect the rate of hair loss.  Hair loss is most strongly determined by genetics.  Keeping the hair shaved may reduce the noticeability of shedding as the hairs are shorter, but otherwise will not contribute.
