If this is the case then something should show up.  Unfortunately, there is always the possibility of everything looking normal on the x-ray.  If the screw is easily accessible, then it can be accessed and checked for tightening as needed without too much fuss.

If you had any type of grafting completed at time of placement, swelling can persist for several days and in some instances up to 10 days.  Often times, it feels like a knot or "marble".  I routinely see my patients for a 2 week post-op to remove any sutures, check for healing and make sure the patient is doing well.

If you do not have post op scheduled, then feel free to make an appointment at this time to have the doctor check it out and make sure that the healing is going as planned.

From what I can see in the photos, these emax crowns look good.  What don't you like about them? In my opinion, they are much better than where you started.  However, it is not uncommon for some patients to feel like they aren't themselves because they look different then what they are used to seeing.

Often times, as much as a physical change that happens, it is the mental change the we have to deal with.  Unless there is something more that I am missing, this seems to be a mental issue that should fade as you get used to it.

I once had a patient that had to have some old dental work updated on her front 6 teeth.  The crowns were nearly 25 years old.  When we updated them, we straightened them, made them less bulky, had a better color match, etc and the patient did not like them at first.  It wasn't what she thought of herself.  While she admitted that the crowns were much improved, she could not get over the mental image she had of her self.  After several weeks, we saw her.  At that point, she did not want to change a thing and loved they way they looked.

I would give it a little time.

Veneers can definitely make an improvement here.  Most likely you would need at 10 veneers which would allow for longer, straighter teeth and a wider smile.

I also think you could pick a shade that was much brighter which could help to overcome the shadow that the lip provides on your teeth currently.

Overall they look okay.  Your right canine throws off the eye as it needs to be tucked in more.  Having said that, it is difficult to say how much more it could be tucked in without any before photos.  

It also looks like the lateral teeth are not the same size.  Your right side lateral is more prominent that your left.


If you look at the photo that you uploaded, the line angles of the centrals do not match.  Line angles are the reflective surfaces of the teeth.  Look at the 2 front teeth in the photo.  Notice how the light from your flash reflects differently on the left than on the right.
