I cannot begin to speak highly enough of my surgeon Dr. Christopher Marek. I wish I could eloquently express my gratitude to him and to the amazing, beautiful staff of Sei Bella. I am so fortunate that I found them. They are truly the warmest, most welcoming, and most talented team you will ever encounter. Due to 160 lb. weight loss following weight loss surgery, I (was) am in need of body contouring. I wanted desperately to start with breast lift & tummy tuck. I am happy with my weight loss but at the same time very self-conscious of the damage I have done to my body. That is why finding the right surgeon was so very important to me. This is a long-awaited journey for me, financially and emotionally, so I need someone I feel comfortable discussing my issues and concerns with. Upon my first consultation, I knew I was in the right place. Jessica at the front desk is the sweetest and most helpful. Loren is... a literal angel. She is a beautiful sole. Her kindness, knowledge and upstanding know no bounds. She is the perfect complement to Dr. Marek. Dr. Marek, well, he is just an amazing talented surgeon. He is knowledgeable, personable, and absolutely genuine. As I mentioned in the beginning, I wanted to start out with a breast lift and tummy tuck. I really wanted to be able to do those two procedures together. Dr. Marek made it happen! He is such a skilled surgeon; I'm still amazed he was able to do what he did with what he had to work with! I cannot thank him enough for the excellent work that he has done thus far! Even without implants he somehow managed to sculpt my breast so they are full and where they should be. The scar of my tummy tuck is low and hidden and healing beautifully! (I'm still getting used to not having an apron of fat& skin around my abdomen). The expertise and the care he has provided since my first consultation, during, and after my surgery are exemplary. I have always felt comfortable and well-informed and taken care of throughout this entire process. My next procedure with be an arm lift! If you are anywhere near Danville, Ky. and are in need of a talented, skilled surgeon, you would do yourself a disservice if you didn't visit Dr. Marek at Sei Bella. I highly recommend Dr. Marek and his team!!
I had my breast implants removed in March of ‘22 by Dr Marek and could not have had a better experience. Dr Marek was amazing with every step up my journey. From initial consult, communication back and forth while deciding to and finally scheduling my surgery, preop, surgery, post op, and any concerns I’ve had in the last 7 months, Dr Marek has personally handled every aspect of my case. There has never been a time that he has been unavailable to me when I had a question or concern, and he has always been very prompt, caring, and informative. I was apprehensive about having my implants removed because I had seen horrific post op pics of disfigured breasts with horrible scarring and adhesions, but Dr Marek assured me he could remove them and leave me with results I would be pleased with and he didn’t lie. He removed my implants and performed a lift for excess tissue removal and aesthetics and I am so pleased! It took me some time to adjust to my natural smaller breasts but I feel so much better (minimal RA pain now) and they are so perfect and perky…I’m so glad I chose to explant and even more pleased that I decided to have such an amazing surgeon to perform it. I would highly recommend Dr Marek to anyone! He truly made this such a wonderful experience.
I met the doctor in the waiting room when he first opened and he seemed very friendly. His receptionist came in afterwards and I asked some questions while he went to the back to prepare to see patients. I have medicaid and the receptionist told me that even though he took medicaid, even if I was approved which I had been through UK and UL plastic surgery, I would still have to pay the full amount for abdominoplasty. I wanted the circumferential tummy tuck and insurance approved me to pay for panni. Once I heard this and realized they would take my insurance money for no extra services I left. This is double billing and fraud. I went to him because I was getting other opinions and he had a good review rate. I was very disappointed when I learned of this. I have never went back.
I had a fraxel laser treatment on medium setting on February 2 to address some sun spots. The doctor applied numbing cream and let it sit on my face for about 45 minutes. The procedure itself was not very painful. It burned and stung a little, but not horrible. The whole thing took about 15 minutes and the doctor made two passes over the worst spots. Afterward, my face was hot and burning and this lasted for about 6 hours. I applied aquaphor as directed at home. The second day my face was very red but not painful and there was not burning. By the end of the third day, areas of my face began to peel. The lighter freckles and spots just literally flaked off. The redness got better, also. By the fourth day, I was able to go out in public, but my face was still red and flaking and it was obvious that something had been done. Peeling continued and this was helped my running cold water on my face in the shower twice a day. Each time my face peeled a little more and looked better. By the fifth day, my face had 90% peeled with the places that got two passes still somewhat red and not yet peeled. On the fifth day, I used apricot scrub and Cerave moisturizer and this helped to exfoliate the skin. It has now been 8 days and I am almost back to normal redness is gone and many of the freckles have disappeared. The darker spots are at least 50% lighter and could get lighter in the next few weeks. One benefit that I did not expect is that a few smile wrinkles around my eyes are almost gone. I also had a faint sleep wrinkle on my cheek that is now gone. This laser works and I would definitely recommend it. My doctor said it might take two treatments to get full results and I knew that going into it. I will probably have one more treatment in a couple of months.
Thanks for your photos and question. Based on the photos you should have a great result from your Tummy Tuck. Generally speaking, it is unusual that I don't incorporate some Liposuction as part of a Tummy Tuck. However, with your skin laxity and history of weight loss, your skin is not as likely to shrink to the same extent following Liposuction. My personal preference would be to extend the incision to remove more of the loose skin on the sides of the abdomen if you were accepting of a longer scar. That said, it is important that you share your concerns with your Board Certified Plastic Surgeon. You both want the same thing, for you to have the best result and be pleased with your outcome. Good Luck!
Thank you for your photo and question. A tummy tuck will certainly give you a better result and flatter tummy. However, given that your young and don't have significant loose skin Liposuction alone can give you a good result. If your skin quality is good, it usually will tighten/shrink some after liposuction. My recommendation would be tummy tuck for the best result. You had mentioned not wanting to miss much time working out as well. Although Liposuction is somewhat less involved than a tummy tuck, in my practice, patients seem to complain more about discomfort and soreness after liposuction longer than from the average tummy tuck.Be sure to be evaluated by a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon that you feel comfortable with. Good Luck!
Thank you for your question! Based on the photo you submitted, I would recommend a lift, especially if the implant is under the muscle. Although an augmentation alone is possible, you would likely have some loose or sagging tissue hanging off the bottom of the implant and be unsatisfied. If you opt for a larger implant to fill out the skin, the weight of the implant with time will lead to stretching or bottoming out and other issues with time. Good Luck!
Thanks for your question. Sometimes early after surgery you can have some dried blood over the incision. Other times you can have some superficial skin loss, that lifts off after a few days like dry skin and is fine underneath. It it is difficult to tell from the photo, but doesn't appear to be anything to be too concerned about. Just let your Plastic Surgeon know. They might want to examine you an reassure you that all is well.Hope that helps!
Thanks for your question. It is very early in your healing process, the scar position does appear higher than usual. The scar placement is generally based on the patients anatomy and skin laxity. Follow your Board Certified Plastic Surgeons recommendations and make them away of the concern.Good news. Once you have healed there generally are options for revision of the scar. Not all would require general anesthesia. Also, generally speaking just to reposition or revise the scar is much less painful than your original surgery.Good luck! Try to stay positive as you seem to have a nice early result and are healng well.
