For over 2 years I had a persistent wart on the tip and under the finger nail on my left thumb that would not go away. Dr. Halvorson diligently tried different treatments such as laser, freezing and needles until the wart was finally gone. Even when his office stopped accepting insurance, he continued to treat me as he wanted to see my issue through until the end. I was very happy that his office started accepting my insurance again. Dr. Halvorson was very patient with me as I was very apprehensive with each treatment. He and his assistant Nina were always very kind, gentle and reassuring. They were both always very professional yet personable. They both have a great bedside manor. Dr. Halvorson is an excellent doctor and I would recommend him to anyone. I can't thank him enough for all that he did for me and for treating my wart until it was finally gone. Thank you again Dr. Halvorson and Nina!!! I am truly grateful for both of you!
Great experience! I had pico sure for age spots and filled for my lips. Both procedures were excellent, and Dr. Halvorson explained everything and answered my numerous questions. His MA Nina is great as well. Would recommend to anyone.
Dr Halvorson is wonderful! He really takes the time to listen. He gives great advice and really cares about his patients. Nina is his MA and she has amazing bedside manners. The two of them work really well together. I really trust both of them and would recommend them to anyone.
Upon educating myself on the best practice for dermatology to cover all aspects I was fortunate enough to find MDLSV almost 15 years ago and have been loyal since. From the front desk where the ladies are incredibly personable and helpful to the assistants, Nurse Practitioners and the Physicians assistants all the way to the incredible Doctors my experience has always been top notch. Dr. Christian Halvorson joined this wonderful practice in the past two years. I knew MDLSV would only bring an incredible physician into their practice, therefore; I decided to see Dr. Halvorson as soon as he became a part of this amazing team. It was the best decision i have made in reference to my goal of anti aging and healthy skin in the most natural look possible. Dr. Halvorson has the most soothing calm bed side mannerism and listens intently while observing what our individual goals are as well as what he feels the need for. His assistant Nina is by far the best fit for him making them “The Dynamic Duo”! I cannot say enough positive things about the incredible duo! They both listen and make suggestions and never push. Dr. Halvorson is so extremely gentle administering injections that i choose not to numb prior. My typical treatment plan consists of fillers for volume as i am 55 yrs old, lip enhancement and botox. He listens and has such an incredible insight as to my vision. I always leave feeling so happy and beyond satisfied after seeing my Dynamic Duo Team! Thank you MDLSV so very much for your amazing team and for these two incredibly amazing people, Dr. Halvorson and his amazing assistant Nina! After reading Dr. Halvorsons extremely impressive creditionals it is such a pleasant surprise to learn how incredibly down to earth he is with the best mannerisms i have encountered. I am so thankful for this practice and these two incredible people i have found and am holding onto!
Have been researching Surgical removal of cellulite for years since Cellulaze came out. I wasn’t confident in cellulaze; didn’t seem like a good treatment. I have been watching Cellfina reviews for two years. Did two consultations. Spoke to an esthetician at a providers office as well. The negative reviews of cellfina seemed to be because of two issues 1)the patient didn’t really have true round dimples or puckers which is actually cellulite or 2) the provider did the area where the thigh and butt cheek meet (this area should never be done) The two providers I met with understood both of these points. One seemed a bit more conservative than the other and that’s who I chose. I’m always going to have cellulite so I was looking for an improvement not a miracle. So far, the procedure itself was not painful at all. I read a book and listened to music. The next day I’m a bit sore ...the numbing effect has gone away and the spots that were treated are a little sore. Nothing unbearable. I’m wearing spanx shorts and taking it easy. No exercising for at least 4 or 5 days. I’m also being careful not to take any aspirin or analgesics because that can make bruising worse. I will update you all soon. I don’t know why the photos are sideways. Will try from a laptop later. The photos were not taken from a strange angle. I reviewed the office and doctor already because I have been interacting with the staff for months and met the doctor for the procedure. Will update about the results as time passes. Updated on 19 Feb 2018: As of yesterday I stopped feeling uncomfortable when sitting for long periods, the worst of the bruising is over. It really wasn't bad at all. I also don't believe the insertion points for the needles will scar not that I can see how they are healing. All in all super easy procedure. Doctor says to wait six months for the results. I stopped wearing my compression shorts last night and went to the gym today for the first time. Updated on 17 Aug 2018:
I recommend a follow-up appointment with your dermatologist to address your concerns. While it is impossible to determine without an in-person examination, cauterization can cause the surface to appear darker initially and that will go away as it heals. Scabs will also appear darker. Keep it moist with aquaphor or vaseline and bandage if necessary to prevent accidentally bumping or scratching. Make sure the bandage adhesive doesn’t cause irritation if you have sensitive skin or prior sensitivity to bandage adhesives.
Without an in person examination and full medical history, we cannot provide a specific recommendation on what to look for. I can recommend carefully reading any instructions provided, proper wound care, and scheduling a follow-up with your doctor in the recommended timeframe. To help reduce the risk of future skin cancers, avoid or limit sun exposure and wear properly applied broad spectrum sunscreen when out in the sun. I would recommend asking your doctor for information on how to look for new potential skin cancer lesions as well as scheduling routine skin cancer detection exams with your dermatologist.
SculpSure has been used successfully on the arms. However, it’s important to get a consultation with a board certified dermatologist or plastic surgeon to determine if it’s a good fit. The number of applicators can be determined at the time of the visit to achieve optimal results. The results will depend on skill and technique of your treating physician.
Both Ultherapy and JuvaShape are non-invasive laser treatments used to tighten skin and smooth wrinkles. The main difference between the two is that Ultherapy uses ultrasound waves to deliver ultrasound energy to the skin’s foundational layer while JuvaShape uses radio frequency (RF) to deliver heat energy to renew and revitalize the skin. In most patients, only one treatment of Ultherapy is required with results being seen gradually over a 2-3 month period. For JuvaShape, patients are recommended to undergo about 6 treatments in order to see noticeable results. Our office offers Ultherapy, but has chosen not to offer JuvaShape at this time. For RF tightening we prefer Exilis and Thermi-Tight. We recommend consulting your dermatologist to discuss the best course of treatment.
