I am very pleased with my experience with Dr. Tye and this facility. I had previously been involved with implants with the regular dental practice I had gone to for years and had a very bad experience. I started the first set of implants in November of 2019 and was told in the summer of 2020 when I went back to have the implants checked that I had to have more bone added. This was done. Then after going back to the dentist later in the summer to have everything checked, I was told that all the work that had been done was infected and everything would need to be taken out because I had open sinus wounds draining into my mouth where the implants had been put. Everything was removed. I was then told that I had to go to an ENT. I went to my ENT who tried to treat me with medication. This failed so I ended up having sinus surgery. Then the previous dentist tried to put in a bridge instead of redoing the implants. The bridge also failed. I was finally refereed to Dr. Tye's office. When he worked on the implants I did not have any pain and the experience was so totally different from my previous experience. I really appreciate all he has done to help me get this situation corrected and on the road to recovery and be able to use the right side of my mouth to eat. I would recommend him to anyone.
Coming from someone who has extremely nervous to have this procedure done, this was easily the best possible outcome. From the consultation, to the day of, and even afterwards, this experience could not have gone any better. The nurses who assisted me, the front office staff, and the Doctors were all so nice. This was the third or 4th place I had looked at to have my procedure done and it was the only place that felt right. That says something.
Visits have been on time and every one is helpful when I have questions and concerns about the procedures that I am under going! Visits are expediate with very little time wasted! Request for neck support was taken care of very fast! I am not a fan of dental work and I will say without a doubt Doctor Tye and his staff have made my visits less stressful , to say the least they have my business
Dr Tye and his Team did a wonderful job when I came to them needing and implant. Not only did he do a wonderful job he had to go in after another dentist had started and and not completed the job correctly. He skillfully did all the work and repair without any problems. The healing process was easy and I have enjoyed my implant Bev D
I had lip fillers but wanted something permanent instead of 500 bucks every 6 months. I studied permanent implants and permalip seemed like the best option. I NEVER had surgery before and was sick to my stomach nervous but made the appointment. I had my surgery THIS MORNING and I am already in love! I will post pix and answer any and all questions posted ad this forum was helpful to me when I was doing research! Updated on 17 Jan 2013: By the way, I chose to with the large implant size on the top lip, and the medium size for the bottom lip. Reason being: My top lip has always been a lot thinner than my bottom lip. Overall, I wanted my top and bottom lips plumper, and my top lip about the same size as my bottom for that somewhat pouty look. (not ducky..lol). I was soo nervous to get his done..and although it was only done today, I am happy to answer any questions about my experience and research, etc. I can't wait to post more pics for you all after the swelling and bruising goes away :) Updated on 22 Jan 2013: OK, so today is day 5 and I am extremely happy with my results. The scariest day for me was day 3, in which i look totally weird and fake and plastic. lol. Luckily, I was just overly swollen on this day. (this is my fault becuase instead of icing often and taking it easy, I was moving apartments on this day which i think made the swelling worse). I was a little scared after my day 3 picture which i will post. Thank goodness on day 4, i looked normal again and today I look perfect! I will post a couple of more pics, and label with the days. I am soo happy I decided to do this. I absolutely love the way they look! Enjoy, and I am happy to answer any more questions! Updated on 19 May 2013: FYI, took most of my pix down, I will be re-organizing and posting them back up soon..more to come!
When considering the cost of a dental implant for replacement of teeth, consider the experience and training of the surgeon or dentist performing the treatment, as well as the system of implant being placed. Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons have formal training after Dental School to evaluate the patient's health history, physical exam and oral exam and offer advanced treatments when indicated such as grafting of bone and gum tissue to optimize the health and appearance of a dental implant. Oral Surgeons have formal training in the placement of Dental Implants and related procedures.Ask your treating doctor if they had formal ADA recognized training in placement of dental implants after Dental School. There are many dental implant manufactures. Many new companies may not have a track record of sucess. Some patients have had implants placed by manufacturers who are no longer in business. Some Dental Implant companies are offering low prices and encouraging Dentist to place implants without formal training. While the cost of Dental Implants may seem expensive, the lifetime expectancy is considered much longer than a conventional bridge. A bridge adds the the biting force of the adjacent teeth to the neighboring teeth requiring the dentist to file down the neighboring teeth. There is the potential for decay on the teeth of a bridge. Dental Implants withstand the biting force with Titanium metal without any load to the neighboring teeth and have no potential for decay.Dental Implants can be used for single tooth replacement, replacement of several teeth or an entire arch/jaw. When considering the cost of a dental implant to replace a single tooth understand that a Dental Implant has three components: 1) the Dental Implant, 2) the Implant Abutment, and 3) the Crown.Christopher L Tye, MD, DDSBoard Certified Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon
