Hello, The studies that have been done with CO2 laser ( Femtouch) in the vaginal area recommend 3 treatments for results to been seen internal or external. This number of treatments is a study average there are some patients that need 4 treatments and conditions like lichen sclerosis may take more treatments at different settings than those used for vaginal resurfacing or vaginal atrophy( a condition caused by chronic estrogen loss)
I have personally had the femtouch procedure performed on myself and I can say that the intravaginal portion is not painful at all. The external portion does require some numbing cream for comfort. With the cream the external is very comfortable as well
