I was diagnosed with breast cancer in April of 2018, and had a DMX with expanders in July. I then had chemo through the end of 2018. This year I have had surgery to swap out the expanders and subsequently, fat transfer to soften the look. Throughout this entire process I have been blessed to have Dr. Tseng as my surgeon. He is beyond wonderful in every way - and an absolute artist. It is incredible to see how beautiful he has sculpted my body - especially after the results of cancer. I had a subcutaneous fatty tumor or lipoma growing on my face near my ear. Its location was right on top of the parotid gland and near some facial nerves and the masseter muscle. Someone close to me had a face lift that damaged her facial nerve and was in continuous pain for over a year and still has trouble with it. So I was very nervous. I had seen several doctors who said that the lipoma needed to be removed by a plastic surgeon, not a dermatologist or a cosmetic surgeon. The first plastic surgeon I met with proposed to make the incision right across the top of the lipoma which would have left me with a scar on my cheek. Great, if I want to look like a swashbuckler with a fencing scar. Fortunately, I found Dr Charles Tseng! He was a miracle worker. He removed the lipoma without causing any damage to the gland, facial nerve or muscle. He cleverly put the scar in the folds of my ear and his sewing up of the incision was so neat that there is barely a scar to see. His office manner was warm and pleasant (without any up-selling like I experienced with the other plastic surgeon). He is very versed in the latest plastic surgery techniques, so if I did want that lower face lift the other doctor tried to convince me to get, I would go to Dr Tseng. I recommend him.
