You mentioned you are unhappy with your nasolabial folds, but they are actually quite aesthetically pleasing and symmetrical. Some patients actually request for more nasofold definition. You could modify your nasolabial folds with dermal fillers but I would not recommend that. You should be proud of that particular facial feature. In regards to the symmertry of your teeth and occlusion, I think there are some options for improvement. It appears your teeth may have shifted into relapse after your orthodontics was completed. I think a round of Invisalign could nicely align and redesign your smile. I would place emphasis to broaden your smile in the buccal corridor area to give a wider smile with more balanced support of the cheeks. I think you should do this first and reevaluate at that point. The decision of shade for veneers is one of the most important decisions during treatment. The decision largely depends on the patients individual situation and goals. Key topics we discuss with patients when we select a shade together are..Will the shade blend with adjacent teeth? Is the patient male or female? Is the shade age appropriate? Does the patient have light or dark skin complexion? Do the adjacent teeth have stain lines or details which we need to add to the veneers to allow them to blend in naturally? Depending on the answers to these questions a shade on one patient may look natural, but could look fake on another patient. I think you should discuss with your dentist to make sure you both have the same goals, and ensure you achieve a result you are both proud of. If the photo shows your fully displayed smile upon laughing, then you are classified as a very mild gummy smile presentation. Your smile could easily be treated toward the end of your orthodontic treatment or after orthodontic completion, by recontouring the gums by a procedure called a gingivectomy. The procedure is an in-office procedure which has very little post op recovery time and very mild postop tenderness. You have very pretty and symmetrical facial features, and it appears the lip line upon smiling sits at the proper height for your proportions. However, in reviewing your photo, your teeth do sit too low for your facial proportions. Essentially the teeth and gums would be ideally placed about 4-5 mm higher to create ideal facial harmony. If your smile bothers you, I would recommend to have a consult with an aesthetic dentist to look at models, photos, and options of what can be done. After full evaluation, most likely what could be recommended is to crown lengthen the front 8 teeth which basically means to recontour the gum around the teeth to shift it upward, followed by replacing the veneers to account for the new gum position and at the same time shorten the incisal length of the teeth. This would improve the aesthetics of your facial proportions upon smiling. Some doctors may recommend jaw surgery which is an option, but this typically is considered for more severe cases, or when there is an issue with the patient's interarch occlusion.
