I've always had large breasts, which was awkward for me, especially as a young woman, because men ogled me, which was embarrassing, so I came to dislike my breasts. It was my 'cross to bear,' it seemed. In the mid-1990s (I was in my mid-forties), I worked out at a local gym with several (other) health professionals. One day while on a treadmill beside a nurse anesthetist (who often worked in surgery with Dr. Feagin), she noticed my breasts bouncing around (even though I was wearing a full support bra), and gave me a tisk-tisk, shook her head, asked me how I stood it. She told me I should get a breast reduction by Dr. Feagin, because, "He's the best." I hem and hawed around and told her it would be wonderful, but I'd need to give it some thought. My friend took the bull by the horns, so to speak, and told Dr. Feagin to speak with me about breast reduction surgery! The following day, Dr. Feagin stopped by to chat with me at the hospital. I made an appointment at Dr. Feagin's office. Because I was not extremely overweight, yet my breasts were large, and I had indentations in my shoulders and neck problems, I qualified for my insurance to pay for the majority of the surgery, which was not on par with his fees, so I paid an additional amount to make up the difference that was affordable. Dr. Feagin gave me a professional discount. I also had to be evaluated by an orthopedist, but he apparently had some grievance about cosmetic procedures being paid for by health insurance and nixed the surgery. He said I was trying to bilk the insurance company! However, I met the qualifications required by the insurance company, and despite the ortho doctor not recommending me for the surgery, was able to to ahead with it. Ever since, I've been happy with my results - and grateful to my workout buddy for pushing me in that direction! By the way, after my surgery, my neck problems went away. I was getting "cricks" (muscle spasms that pinch a nerve) in my neck that radiated mostly to the sides or back of my neck and upper shoulders that would go on for weeks, and sometimes months. One time the "crick" was like a cramp at the front of my throat, which was the worst one I ever had, and a bit scary because I felt as though I were about to choke. You may think, with so many years after the procedure, plus me being 69 years old, that I'd be giving you irrelevant information? Maybe so, but during my most recent mammogram, the technician told me I had the best breast reduction results she'd ever seen, and she'd seen thousands! That's a pretty good testament to Dr. Feagin's work, I thought! After that compliment, it occurred to me that I should make a positive comment about Dr. Feagin on Health Grades, but did not follow through, but then I found RealSelf, and here it is! Although my procedure was done about 25 years ago and my body seems to be falling apart, my breasts are still perky!
Before I decided to get a mastopexy (breast lift) and breast augmentation, I researched all of the physicians that specialized in this particular procedure. I chose to use Dr. Feagin as he had been very highly recommended from previous patients as well as surgery nurses. I had a fear that the doctor would decide what size my implants would be based on his/her opinion. Dr. Feagin listened to my concern and did exactly the size I chose. I feel my breasts are very natural looking and back to their youthful, perky position. They are very proportionate to my figure and not too large like the horror stories I heard about other physicians. I would recommend Dr. Feagin to anyone interested in having a mastopexy and/or breast augmentation.
Dr. Feagin did my tummy tuck w/ flank lipo 3/13. I’m super pleased with the results! He really cares about his patients. This was my 2nd procedure with him and I’d like to have one more small thing done in the future. I highly recommend his services!
I have always disliked my calves. No amount of exercise and healthy eating would get rid of some of the fat. After having a child, they were worse than ever. Skinny jeans and cute boots were out of question, so I had liposuction of my calves and on my thighs around my knees. I am absolutely thrilled with my results! I have a high pain tolerance, but it was painful for the first 4 or 5 days, but manageable! Expect to be REALLY bruised and swollen for a while. Even my feet and toes were bruised and swollen. I would still do it all over again! Dr. Feagin is amazing!
I needed to have breast surgery with I was 18. About 4 years ago I had to have them replaced because they slipped out of their pockets and were 10+ years old. I originally had saline implants, and replaced them with silicone. I started having health issues with the new implants. After a long time of trying to figure out what was wrong, and going through many tests and trials to get better, I decided to have the implants removed. During both of my experiences, Dr. Feagin listened to what I had to say, helped me create a plan, did a great job on both surgeries, as well as made sure that I knew what to do to take care of myself during recovery. Great doctor and office staff.
Dr Feagin did an abdominoplasty and liposuction for me. My waistline has slimmed down and the fat above it is gone. My clothes fit better and my overall profile is nicer. He and his staff have been very courteous and helpful all the way.
I am a 23 year old who had DDD breasts. Dr. Feagin was so great to work with and reduced my breasts to a full C cup. He and his staff have been so helpful with this whole process and I would recommend him to anyone!
Great experience and very pleased with results of belt lipectomy and breast augmentation. Office staff very helpful. I could call at any time with questions. Never had to wait at visits which is very helpful since I was coming from out of town. Highly recommend Dr. Feagin! He has great bedside manner and even returned to the hospital after hours to check on me.
I’m a 53 year old who had saline implants for 18 years. Never had any trouble with them until this past year. I lost a tremendous amount of weight and the ripples in the bags were really noticeable. Especially when bending over. I visited Dr. Charles Feign of Dothan, AL. Knowing him for many many years. (He fixed my wrist all those years ago). So I already knew what a great surgeon and person he is. Putting all my trust in him I decided on silicone this time and I’m so very pleased with my results!!
My first trip to Dr Feagin was as a teen with a large cut in my forehead. Since that time I have a had breast augmentation, tummy tuck and breast revision. Dr Feagin has performed all of these procedures and the results have been beyond my expectations! Not only is he a skilled plastic surgeon but he is kind, caring and preofessional.
