usually Botox's effect is completely gone after 6 months, especially if its a brand like Allergan or dysport. However sometimes brands imported from other countries have more preservatives and can last up to 8-9 months. Nevertheless, the effect will resolve and you will have more movement. muscle hypertrophy will come back if you clinch your teeth again just like when you exercise any other muscle in the body.

I had my masseter Botox in 21.8.23. It slimmed my face very much. I got 27.5 units per side. But it didn’t pass. My muscles feel strong as before but look VERY slim STILL! doctor said it wears off after 3-4 months and I’m stuck, I want my old square face shape!! Will it last forever?? I can’t stop having panic attacks about it. If it’s relevant I wear a retainer at night (got my braces off a year ago)

Steroids after 3 years doesn't do much for your swelling. Also Swelling that much far postoperatively is rare, however some studies show residual edema especially in open structure rhinoplasty when lymphatics are cuts.

I got a rhinoplasty in2021. I loved my nose straight out the cast. I had edema in my radix but that resolved. As time went on, the bridge of my nose began to appear swollen, some days are better than others.When I press down on my nose, the skin is soft and moves according to my finger pressing on it. My Dr inTurkey recommended getting steroid injections of at least 3-4 mg. The doctor I went to in the US did not think it was swelling bc it’s Soft but my nose did improve. Pls lmk your thoughts!

Yes I believe this Result is Pretty Much easily Achievable. a Slight rotation and support to the tip with a really gentle rasp to the dorsum

Severe Tension was put on the skin when it was sutured back together, thus you had hypertrophic scarring. This is Typical when a facelift is done without properly lifting the "Deep Plane". I would recommend for now to do steroids injections / laser treatments and not venture with haste into another surgery

43 yo. Post op 5 months. Not sure what went wrong here - ears are embarrassing, sweeping look when I tense my mouth, hypertrophic scaring behind ears. Is the pixies considered “severe” or mild? How much could the scarring be improved? Does the sweeping look expected to get better with time, or only with a revision? Should I have to pay for a revision with my initial surgeon with these results?

How do you determine if you need a revision? Have pixie ears, some lateral lines when I tense mouth, and wide scarring (Photo)

I would recommend waiting till the swelling is completely gone before you do any surgical intervention. Pics of your nose before the Surgery Would also be helpful

I look so weird when i take pictures. Im afraid i have botched nose. I went back to my doctor 10 days ago and showed him how my nostrils are showing a lot. He did an alarplasty to make them narrower. But this flaring is still showing. My alar rims feel still swollen maybe this will change i dont know! But im going crazy i cant stop looking in the mirror and hating myself and regretting having done this nose job in the first place! I have thin skin i thought i wouldnt swell that much.

An Endoscopic Browlift is mostly done in Patients who have a narrow forehead. If you have a slightly large forehead it is not indicated and it is preferable to have a pretrichial browlift. Concerning Longevity it all depends on the technique and the experience of the Surgeon. I wouldn't recommend a direct browlift on a young patient such as yourself

I'm 33 years old, I have low brows with hooded eyes because of the brows, I've had an upper blepharoplasty 7 years ago, it didn't last long and I felt that my brows dropped even more, I want to do an endoscopic brow lift, but I've heard it barely lasts 2 years, how accurate is that?? I also heard a direct brow lift doesn't last long, im so confused, what can I do ?
