Celal Candirli, DDS

I arranged jaw surgery in Istanbul with Dr. Celal Candirli, through Dr. Serdar Bademci. After an in-person consultation in November 2024, I was told to pay a 25% deposit immediately to Dr. Serdar Bademci to lock in the agreed price — which I did. Over several months, the surgery was repeatedly delayed with various excuses. By July 2025, I had paid a total of £20,000 directly to Dr. Serdar Bademci, but the surgery still hadn’t happened. Due to upcoming work commitments, I could no longer proceed and requested a refund — something I had been assured was always possible. After stalling, Dr. Serdar Bademci stopped replying entirely. Then, I received a message from Dr. Celal Candirli stating that Dr. Serdar Bademci had stolen all of my money, along with money from other patients. I’ve reported the matter to my bank and Action Fraud UK, and I’m now seeking legal advice. This experience has left me emotionally and financially devastated.

Based on my personal experience with Prof Celal Candirli at Dentakademi Clinic, I must express significant concerns about the quality of care and professionalism exhibited by this surgeon. I had a series of three interventions with general anaesthesia and few additional one under local anaesthetic. I contacted Dentakademi for jaw surgery, who was collaborating with Prof Celal Candirli. First surgery was 21st july 2022, with a second surgery on the 1st August 2022, because according to Prof Celal the anesthesiologist have fractured my jaw when woke me up. Between this two surgeries, i had an additional one, where i was told by him he will only tighten the screws( this before knowing i need a 2nd surgery, he didn't mention it at this point), the problem was i couldn't control my mouth nor feel it, when the elastics were taken off, during this procedure he applied unhuman treatment fueld with pain and traumatic, where i was begging him to stop, soon after to be told i need the 2nd surgery because my jaw was fractured. I need to skip details as it is a lot to say, but i am writing a blog page, wehere all the details are said, with conversations and pictures. 3rd surgery feb 2023, another failure, the treatment plan was changed in the surgery room, i just woke up to realise the treatment was done differently than i was told. 10 months later after having complications, infection, exposed plate, bad occlusion, muscles atrophy, loss bone mass and much more he is telling me i need a 4th surgery. Overall, my experience with Prof Celal Candirli at Dentakademi Clinic has left me deeply dissatisfied and disillusioned. I urge others to exercise caution and thorough research when considering treatment under his care.

Horrible experience with Celal Candirli. He did a double jaw surgery for me on Nov. 13, 2023 and then decided to do a revision on Nov. 15, 2023. I trusted him with his decisions. However, the result was awful: open bite, crooked jaw, facial assymetry and pain in the right jaw joint. He declared the surgery successful even though the X-ray and my physical state were showing how bad it was. I lost my occlusion, which affected my speach and eating. I lost 15 pounds, because I can only eat pulverized food that I do at home. Celal Candirli is not concerned about my suffering. He stopped communicating with me. I asked him to refund my money, so I put it towards my revision surgery which is more expensive. He doesn't want to do it. He is concerned about money and not about patients. Avoid this individual. He is a bad doctor and an indecent man.
