So, I should preface by saying that Dr. Tetenbaum has been my family physician since I was around 26 and I'm 56 now. Throughout the years she has always shown herself to be a doctor who constantly learns the latest techniques, and medical updates (went to other doctors one time for an ever-worsening cough where I could barely talk after 6 months with no solution..she suggested it could be acid reflux, took the medicine, cured in 3 days!!). Anyway, I went in today because deeper nasofobial folds and loss of volume under my eyes causing heavier bags. She explained the process prior and so I got a prescription for Lidocaine and put some on and hour before my appointment (took about an hour and 15 minutes to drive anyway). We talked about the process again, and then she began the injections. 99% were not painful at all, she warned me that towards the upper part of the nose it might be more painful but still was nothing compared to my dental visits. We ended up using two needles as my folds were deep but she was rightfully conservative around my eyes so as not to cause my cheeks to look unnatural. I am OVERJOYED at the difference. My friends say they didn't notice anything but you know your own face better. I can be in bright light taking a picture or with duller light and the shadows cast are so much smaller, practically non-existent. I still can't believe the difference to me. I would to graduate to something longer-lasting/permanent when this treatment expires if possible, but if I do the same procedure again, I wouldn't hesitate to see my doctor of 30 years again!
