Calf Implant

Terrible experience - my calf until now is still uneven

I had a calf implant with this surgeon and it was terrible, first his assessment on the size of my calf implant, he didn’t get it correctly that’s why my calf until now is still uneven. Second was the check up fee of 2,000, he told me that it will be voided if I pursue with the surgery but after the surgery he told me he did not say that. Third, was during the surgery, he recommended me that it’s best to not do the general anesthesia, i said fine, he said it’s better if I’m awake. The anesthesia was only on the surface of my calf not inside, that’s why I feel like I was tortured during the surgery, he didn’t tell me that the inside of my calf will not be numb. I was crying the whole procedure, it was terrible. He could have been honest but no, he thinks it’s okay to do that. And fourth was the price, for me I think it’s overpriced. I spent almost $2000 just for one calf. Where in fact, you can get breast implants for that price for the both already. He even asked me who will pay the surgery? I mean is that really necessary ? And also the removal of the stitches he asked me for $20 per removal , nevertheless I didn’t complain anything to him and just let it pass. I hope people can find the right doctor and always search got reviews. It’s important, because mine, I thought he was good because of his credentials.

My eye turned out to be asymmetric - One incision is higher than the other and not the same shape

Botched my blepharoplasty in 2014 and I am due for revision with another facial plastic surgeon this year as I was very traumatized with my experience with him. My eye turned out to be assymetric. One incision is higher than the other and not the same shape. It has been a learning experience for me to look for someone reputable and with good reviews from past patients.

Elective Rhinoplasty in Near Mess - Manila, Philippines

I had an elective rhinoplasty 2 months ago and everything was working as expected, the swelling has subsided and the new nose was what I had expected. 2 weeks ago I noticed that my nose has started to swell again...about the same time, I was suffering from sinus infection. Since my Plastic Surgeon is from the Philippines,I went to my Primary Care Physician who gave me Keflex and Nasonex. I have been taking Keflex for more than 5 days but I did not start taking the Nasonex yet..I remember my surgeon telling right after surgery that I need to wait before I could take meds with steroids. I have been taking the Keflex but my nose is still swollen. Any advice? Updated on 31 Jan 2011: The original rhinoplasty done in the Philippines was catastrophic. The tip of my nose was red from day 1 after surgery. I suffered from numerous infections 2 months later and was on antibiotics for more than 6 months after that. I had a big abscess on the right upper part of my nose close to my eye which oozed blood and pus. I had 2 surgeries in California to fix the problems. My Plastic Surgeon in Fairfield, CA removed the implant and a month after, he fixed the deep scar caused by the abscess. Luckily, the nose still looks the same even without the implant. I love the result. Big Advice: As much as possible, have your reconstructive/plastic surgeries done in the US by certified Plastic Surgeons. Going to the Philippines to save some money was a terrible mistake.
