My friend and I were discussing getting a transplant for years. He vetted doctors across the country for 7.5 years to be exact. He told me as soon as he consulted with Dr. Wesley, he knew he was the one. My friend had it done and I followed suit, both doing the FUE procedure. This procedure was so seamless both logistically and physically. There was barely any recovery!

During my initial consultation with Dr. Wesley, he discussed a holistic approach to my hair transplant which I was seeking and frankly which I did not get from other practitioners. It has been over six months of my FUE procedures and could not be more satisfied with the impressive results which continues. I have been seeing Dr. Wesley for a few years now. Upon initial consultation, I appreciated that Dr. Wesley went over all options, both surgical and non-surgical, and educated me on female hair loss. I opted to have two PRP procedures. While PRP did help decrease shedding and stall some of the hair loss I was experiencing, I eventually opted to have a hair transplant in August 2020. Dr. Wesley and his team thoroughly prepared me for the procedure. I appreciated that I was informed well ahead of time about what to do pre-op and was provided with a folder of easily-digestible materials on what to do beforehand and what to expect over the following year after undergoing the transplant. Dr. Wesley and his team did let me know of potential side-effects, such as folliculitis and "shock" loss. When I arrived for my procedure, I felt calm and was greeted by his team. (I'd also like to add that this was during COVID, so they did test me prior to the procedure-- everyone wore a mask and I felt very safe undergoing the procedure during this time). The procedure itself was actually pleasant-- I did not experience any pain and was well taken care of. I returned to the office the following day for bandage removal and a gentle hair washing. Dr. Wesley's team sent me home with careful instructions (and I will say, I followed them strictly). I was swollen for approximately 7-10 days, but felt comfortable going out after about 5 days. I did not experience any facial bruising. When I returned to school a few weeks later, no one noticed I had anything done. I was fortunate not to ever experience shock loss, but I did encounter some hair shedding and folliculitis approx. 4-6 months after the procedure. When this happened, I reached out to the office right away and Dr. Wesley recommended some tweaks (switching to oral minoxidil) and we kept an eye on things. Being that I was out of state, I did opt to see my dermatologist, as well, and within a couple of weeks the folliculitis went down and any shedding I experienced ceased. Dr. Wesley and his team continued to check in on me.

Overall, I was very happy with the entire experience. If I ever felt the need to undergo another hair transplant, I would happily see Dr. Wesley. He and his nurses have a wonderful bedside manner and importantly, they all take the time to educate you. It is very obvious that he is passionate about his work and treats each patient's hair loss individually. His office staff create a very inviting, calm environment, and any calls or e-mails I made were always addressed quickly. I think that many women often feel that they may not be a candidate for a hair transplant because we tend to experience hair loss differently than men (more diffuse, etc.). I hope from my photos (1 year later) you can see that Dr. Wesley thoughtfully transplanted hair in areas where I was shedding the most and created a thicker part line. In addition, he constantly stays on top of new methods and advancements in the field, and provides this to his patients.

Dr. Carlos Wesley is the type of doctor we hope to find but rarely do. From his intellect, to the patience and ease in which he walks you through each step of the process, to his bedside manner.. we hope to be lucky enough to find doctors like these along the way.

All you have to do is meet him, and the rest will take care of itself. If you want top-of-the-line care, Dr. Wesley is your guy.

Dr Carlos Wesley is a consummate professional. My consulting appointment answered all of my questions. A big factor of me choosing Dr Wesley, aside from the flawless hairlines and the miraculous results from his website/Instagram, was that Dr Wesley wasn’t a typical cosmetic surgeon. I felt no arrogance or “looking down” from Dr Wesley. He is just a “regular” guy with a multitude of bonafide credentials and soft, pleasant demeanor. He was exactly what I was looking for. Further, the phone support by Barbara was so reassuring...she is a gem.

And here I am eight months after the procedure writing with such admiration of Dr Wesley and his team and personal joy, I am a new man.

This weekend, I swam in a pool with no concern of what I would look like to others for the first time in 20 years! I almost cried.

My hair has changed from a detriment to becoming a highlight of my look. It is unimaginable. And it is not even finished it’s final appearance! Quite honestly I would have taken what I looked like 4 months ago (post procedure 4 months) and called it a victory.

Since then, two of my friends have also gone to Dr Wesley- I was their test case:). They are both thrilled.

I recommend Dr Wesley without hesitation. I am sorry I waited this long.

Dr. Wesley and all of his staff are fantastic. Professional, knowledgeable, caring, with very friendly personalities that make you feel right at home. The care you get pre and post-operative is phenomenal, making sure you are comfortable and calming any nerves you might have. Dr. Wesley described the day of the procedure as a "spa-day" and he was absolutely right. Relaxing, talking, joking, watching Netflix, and before you know it you're done! Spending a few days with him and his staff was an overwhelmingly great experience, if you choose Dr. Wesley and his staff you've made the right choice!

Dr. Wesley and his staff are skilled, professional, honest, kind, and good-humored. I had my first hair transplant six years ago and it was exactly as promised: painless and super successful. (I had visited a number of highly recommended surgeons in NYC, but I stopped "shopping" as soon as I met Dr. Wesley because I immediately trusted his head, hands, and heart.) We always knew that I would need a second, and so I did it again 11 weeks ago. I already have significant early growth and couldn't be happier or more optimistic about the final result. Obviously, there are many excellent hair transplant surgeons and clinics in the world, but I can't imagine there are any better than Dr. Wesley and his team.
