He did my tummy tuck in 2013! I was happy with results right away and I'm still happy. Even with a couple of pound more my tummy is still flat!! I recommended a friend and she didn't get the same results from Dr. Slade's partner. I recommend Dr. Slade.
I am 12 days post op, and somewhat anxious as to the final outcome, I had the surgery to remove undereye bags and have a more rested appearance. My surgery was a breeze, I did look like a prize fighter that was delivered several hard blows to the face, my face was bruised and eyes almost swollen shut, especially the left one. but 3rd day post op most of the swelling /bruising was gone, ( I used arnica), my sutures were removed 4 days post op, I still have the tightness and lumps to the outer corners of the lids, and this I am told is normal . but what I am concerned about is that the right eye is not symmetrical and the white beneath the lower pupil is exposed. I know I am still healing but I am anxious to know if this will be permanent, Will fu with the surgeon soon
I went to Dr. Slade to to have rhinoplasty done. The results were horrible, my nose was grossly deformed and my nostrils looked uneven. His attempts to correct it were not satisfactory. I have had to seek out other doctors and now have to spend a fortune on revision surgery. I went to another doctor who injected Juvaderm into my nose to make it appear normal. Dr. Slade didn't even suggest that or offer it to me to correct his mistakes. Do no tmake my mistake and use him.
Within weeks I had a bubbling feeling on the left and went into see Dr Slade. Granted some say his bedside manner is not the best but he was always polite enough. I also told him I thought I had cysts on right side. He said he felt nothing. Sent me for a mammogram and followup with ultrasound and yes I was right. I had cysts. Even if he didn't feel them I certainly did (I have since have them removed surgically elsewhere by a PS that I trust) But the bubbling continued. I went in a time or two or three? altogether but just felt like they thought I was crazy (EVEN THOUGH i had cysts and was right when he didn't think I did) But the bubbling on other side got worse, I got sick, sicker , couldn't even work. Finally went to Dr Susan Kolb in Atlanta a few months ago and had explantation. Turns out the left one was indeed leaking. Granted if saline leaks into your body - saline itself is not harmful but with a leaky valve (is what we guess with Mentor saline smooth under the muscle) SO close to my heart it really wreaked havoc and created a moldy environment. I had called Dr Slade to explain I was having them out in Atlanta and could they remove the stitches take out tubes, do the explant check up afterward. The rude woman said go to your primary care doc for that (uh primary care doc? Is going to do all that? My PC doc didn't feel comfortable doing that! Again I was happy to pay Slade 4 yrs later to take out tubes and stiches as I couldn't stay in Atlanta a week after explant surgery. I called again after I got back from ATL and I couldn't find anyone who could do this. They still refused even if I PAID and said they were too busy?! I was in tears , said my PC cannot do (actually turns out my PC doctor during that whole week too which was sad (in his 80s) so I was going to a walk in place to have it done (emergency care- as these drain tubes HAD to come out and stitches) when I passed Dr. Zamora's office just by coincidence literally in the same building. I walked in and even though they were busy they agreed to do it. 200 dollars. I'd never met the surgeon (great plastic surgeon I hear and he did a great job) WONDERFUL bedside manner and very understanding. No one could believe Slade's office refused. Even though I had leaking implants, never asked him to replace them, never asked for anything except to pay to have my stitches and drain tubes out after surgery in Atlanta at a well known surgeon's 4 years after Slade put them in. Oh and when I went to ATL they required a deposit but accepted the rest by credit card day I arrived. I found out Zamora and Dr Lentz (another local surgeon here in Fla is the same) but at SLADE's I had to pay the WHOLE amount in advance CHECK only (if i recall WEEKS in advance!??!) I should have known that was a bad sign to start out with. I live with a doctor (who isn't a surgeon and his practice isn't local and didn't feel comfortable taking out drains and stitches) and he was appalled when he heard me on the phone w Slade and felt so bad for me. Zamora saved me. I'd see him or Lenzt if you go to local surgeons. Oh and Slade is NOT in Orlando. he's many miles away in a small town called Port Orange. I will never be going back there and recommend you don't go either.Updated on 2 Sep 2012:Should say my Primary Care (PC) doctor ended up dying during that week. That's only change. So thankful I found other competent surgeons in my area who actually care.
I'm scheduled for this Monday 4/13/2015 for my breast augmentation! I am 29 years old and have one child who I breast fed. I also lost about 40 lbs and have kept it off for 5 years. After going back and forth I have finally decided on Mentor 475cc high profile silicone, under the muscle. I am a saggy 34 B to start out with and hoping to get the results I want with a large enough implant so I can avoid a lift. Updated on 12 Apr 2015: I'm scheduled tomorrow morning at 10am - here's 2 bra I've bought for after wards. I'm a deflated B to start and I'm going with 475cc silicone HP under the muscle - I hope I'm not going to end up too big! Updated on 14 Apr 2015: These are some pic pre-op. Grey tank top no bra and blue tank top wearing VS wired padded push up 34B Updated on 14 Apr 2015: My BA surgery was yesterday 4/13. I received 475cc high profile under the muscle. I'm still not really sure what to think, they are still sitting very high and my breasts kinda have a elongated shape to them. I was very nervous that I was going to end up with these huge boobs that I hated, but instead now I'm wondering if I went big enough. I know it's way to early to tell anything but I'm just hoping they turn out how I hoped they would. Any input would be much appreciated :) Updated on 16 Apr 2015: Here's some more pics Updated on 16 Apr 2015: Day 3 Post Op. Feeling much better today! I kinda feel like one of my boobs are a little bigger than the other (my left) (I hoping everything will even out once settled). These are taken in a sports bra from VS and a bra from target. I hope once everything is settled I will get the cleveage I'm wanting! I was thinking they were looking kind of small before but now I'm feeling they are getting a little bigger. I have had no bruising at all until today - I have noticed some right above the steri strips - does anyone know if it's ok to put the arnica cream on those bruises?? Updated on 19 Apr 2015: Still waiting for them to drop and settle, but so far so good Updated on 30 Apr 2015: I'm 2 weeks post op now and headed back to work. I know it's a little early to be buying bras but I need something to wear to work so I'm going to make an attempt! I've always been a 34 band size but I actually ended up buying 36 DD, the 34 just seemed a little to tight to be comfortable in :-/ I never anticipated being a DD!!! Maybe once the drop and heal I will settle down to a D. They look so much bigger in a bra to me than they do without one. I still feel like my right is a little higher and smaller, but hopefully with time they will even out.
I have gone in for my initial consultation and told him I wanted to be a full D. I am currently a 38A or 36b according to VS. His recommendation was 500-550cc but he wanted me to think about it for a few weeks. I go for pre op on Monday for the final verdict. I am getting nervous, my husband is fully supportive. I have 1 child 4 y/o not who was not breast fedUpdated on 12 Feb 2013:I went for my preop yesterday and really had my heart set on 550 mod plus saline implants the dr agreed with all of it except the 550cc he said that he would not do anything bigger than 500 on me. I don't know if the 50 cc will make a big difference. He took the before pictures and went over all the paperwork and had me sign it. He gave me my prescriptions and I paid. I have to be at the surgery center on Monday at 10 am. They will call me on Friday to confirm that and maybe have me come in earlier. They gave me Percocet 5 mg for the pain which I was surprised at. I figured they would give me something stronger. I will upload some pictures tonight. As much as I don't like to rush through life I really cannot wait for Monday to get here. This will probably be the longest weekend of my life.
