I had the best experience with Dr. Chegar and his wonderful staff. I am so happy with my results! The pain was minimal and I was out shopping four days after my surgery. I’m so grateful that I found such an amazing surgeon! Thank you so much Dr. Chegar
Ok... since you a have been so helpful and knowledgeable for the last 3+ yrs. I've been trolling this site, I have to put my upcoming experience on in case I can help anyone! My surgery is in two 2! days. I will be having face and neck lift, and upper bleph. It will be done under twilight sedation. My hope is it will not be too deep, as I get very nauseous with any sedation, and I told Dr. Chegar that. Plus, I'm just scared of anesthesia at my age (64). Here are some before pics, and I will post after a couple of days on the other side of this. Gotta say... I feel a tiny bit vein... praying I do O.K.. I'm a new Grandmother to a sweet little girl, and I want her to have lots of time with her Grammy! Can't tell I'm super nervous, right? Updated on 11 Nov 2021: The surgery went very well! I didnt get naseaus, and had minimal pain! Dr. Chegar told me I was singing along to the music during the procedure, so I must have been relaxed and comfortable. ???? First night home, just took Ibuprofen 600 mg., and that worked every 4 hrs. to control minimal pain. I am very tight through my jaw and neck, and have a minimual amount of bruising on neck and chest. My eyes are kind of blurry, so it is hard to read, but I think that is because of the Erythromiacin I am putting on the stitches. My husband has been great, helping to clean my incisions, and putting Vaseline on them. Overall, I would say it was worth it so far, and it looks like I will have a good result. Will update again when I get the stitches out in a few more days. Updated on 11 Nov 2021: Sorry, my review didnt maken t in with my.last pics for some reason! The surgery went well, and no nausea! Yea! Dr. Chegar said I was singing along to the music during the procedure, so I must have been comfortable and relaxed in my twilight haze.???? I have a very tight neck and jaw, some swelling on eyes and lower face, and moderate bruising on my neck. Overall, not too bad. Just took Ibuprofen 600 mg. for the first 24 hrs. My husband has been great, helping me clean and Vaseline my incisions. I will update again when I go back to get stitches removed. Updated on 16 Nov 2021: Its been a week since my surgery...it seems like a lot longer! Day 3 and 4 were probably the worst. Was pretty swollen in front of ears and down jaw, grumpy because didnt sleep welll between getting up to use the bathroom from all the water I was drinking to help with flushing all the medications out of my system, and being uncomfortable from being on my back all night. I would say every day is getting better. Bruising is starting to fade on neck. Dr. Chegar and his nurse, Jody, both said I look really good for one week out. I am pleased with the progress. My incision lines in my eye crease are a littte ropey, but that will flatten with time. Only area I'm worried about is a very red sore spot behind one ear. Dr. Chegar didnt seem too concerened about it, so I guess I'll just wait and see. Overall, very happy I did it! I feel much better about my profile, and feel prettier, too. It's not a small procedure, so be prepared, but if you are considering it, do your research, and go for it! Updated on 16 Nov 2021: One week out from surgery, and feeling and healing well. Dr. Chegar and his nurse, Jody, said I look great! Day 2 and 3 were the worst. Uncomfortable and swollen doesn't make for easy sleeping, so was pretty grumpy. Stitches came out today. My eyelid incisions are a bit ropey, but will continue to flatten and heal. One red, sore spot behind my right ear, but overall, I am very pleased with my progress and healing. I feel much prettier, and just back to the way I looked about 10-15 yrs. ago! If you are considering this surgery, do your research to find the best Dr., and do it! Updated on 8 Dec 2021: Its been 1 month since my surgery. The numbness and swelling gets better everyday. I basically only have numbness on lower jaw and under chin. My eyes look great. Of course my incision lines are still pink, but dont really show unless I close my eyes, and the incisions in front of ears and behind ears are almost inperceptable! My neck, right under my chin, is a lityte lumpy, especially at the end of the day. I text Dr. Chegar's nurse sbout this, and Dr. had me send pics. He said it will continue to smooth out, keep wearing my chin strap when at home, and watch my salt. I see him again on the 12/28, so I'm hoping it's smoother by then. You can't really see it unless I tilt my head back, but am hoping it continues to improve. Overall, I am very happy with my results, and very glad I decided to do the surgery! Updated on 26 Jan 2022: So, everything looking pretty good. I am still a little concerned about some lumpiness under my chin. I had an appt. at the end of December, and Dr. Chegar said to give it a few more months. I go back to see him in a couple months, so will address it then if I feel it has not resolved. Did have a Microneedling Pen procedure as part of the three free facial treatments I recieved with my procedure. It was a little more of a recovery than I had anticipated, but should be seeing good results after third one is finished in April. Updated on 26 Jan 2022: The pics below are 3 1/2 months out. It didnt print my comments for some reason...they'll probably show up after I post this!???? I went back for check at end of Dec., and I feel I have some lumpiness undrr my chin that needs to be addressed. Dr. Chegar said lets give it a couple more months and see if it resolves, since I'm not fully healed for at least 6 months. The incisions are invisible, and my eyes are just right. As part of my procedure, Dr. Chegar gives you 3 free facial treatments, so I have had one Skin Pen microneedle procedure, and will have 2 more spaced about 6 weeks apart. It was more downtime than I anticipated, but am hoping it helps with the fine lines above my lip and on my chin!
