To assess for frontal nerve damage after a brow lift, simply lift your eyebrows. &nbsp;They should move up and down, if not there may be temporary paralysis. &nbsp;This can take some time after a procedure to resolve.&nbsp;
Note also if there is Botox in your forehead the frontal branch of the facial nerve is not necessarily damaged. &nbsp;It may just be the Botox&nbsp;

Hallo, 5 months ago i decided to undergo a endoscopic brow-lift but without any improvement. Slowly i could notice that the placement of eyebrows got lower during healing process and movement was decreased leaving me with more visibile expressions on frontal- i have a really bad feeling about this result. How to examinate if there is any damage on fat-tissie,nerves and muscles like Supra-Trochlear-,Supra-Orbial- and Zygomatic nerve / Frontal and Procerus muscle? Thanks in advance

First off, always make sure allergic issues are not adding to the appearance. &nbsp;Simple use of an intranasal steroid spray can eliminate some puffiness.&nbsp;
 
You can try a unit or two of Botox under the eye as well
 
Chemical or laser peel is an option
 
Lastly, a small skin pinch and removal of a portion of the lower eyelid fat pad are surgical treatments

Believe it or not...the nasal tip swelling takes the longest to heal. &nbsp;You look at your nose daily in the mirror so can't really see the subtle minute changes although at one year from the procedure the pre and post op differences will be apparent.&nbsp;

I am nearly 4 months post op following a closed rhinoplasty and the tip of my nose is worse than before. I requested work to my bridge reduction of a bulbous tip and the tip lifted all of which I was told could be achieved through closed. I am devastated please be honest have you seen it this big before and has it ever reduced significantly? If not please tell me exactly what I need doing so I can request this next time. Please give me as much advice as possible!!

Sorry to hear of your dilemma.&nbsp;
I see from your photos what your describing. &nbsp;You can deproject the nose through a few different methods. &nbsp;However the cartilage has memory which means it may warp after the procedure no matter how straight a surgeon makes it. &nbsp;
Check out the internet for a few techniques described. &nbsp;One is a medial crural set back. &nbsp;The other is vertical dome divisions. &nbsp;Also take a look at the Anderson tripod theory. &nbsp;It will really give you a good conceptualization of nasal projection/rotation&nbsp;

I've had 2 rhinoplasties with the same Dr. First was in 2001, but felt too long and crooked and wanted to fix again and fixed in 2007. 9.5 years later I'm still unhappy with length, tip and crooked front view. I'd like it straighter and softer for my face. What are my options and will I be able to get it straight or am I just crooked period? 1 dr said he'd graft ear cartilage and use to reconstruct nose and soften tip, but make it wider. Should I go back to my original surgeon?

A photo may help to get a better idea of the asymmetry. &nbsp;Quick note, if it is only a few millimeters, you can inject a few units of Botox under the brow that is lower and the several units can improve on brow assymetey&nbsp;

While every surgeon/doctor is entitled to their own appearance i believe you can see improvements in all of your nasal concerns with a functional rhinoplasty&nbsp;

In my mid 50's my nasal valves became weak causing chronic breathing issues, congestion and nasal lining issues. I've always wanted a more proportional nose anyway but the prominent rhinoplasty expert I met with tells me my nose is so long and narrow, my only option is a wide flat nose once my nasal lining heals?

First off, was there ever any trauma to your nose? &nbsp;A break, sports or fight?
 
Two things to note:
1) from a functional standpoint, you can fix the nasal septum and shrink the turbinates inside your nose. &nbsp;This will get you breathing better while not altering the external appearance at all.
 
2) the cosmetic appearance of your nose, to fix this you would need to reset the nasal bones by performing osteotomies, this will help straighten the nose's external appearance

there are anatomical units of the nose, the area your concerned of is around the region of the soft tissue&nbsp;triangular facets. &nbsp;
There is going to be some swelling present in your nasal tip for up to one years. &nbsp;These prominences will soften. Not to worry

I had closed rhinoplasty 5 months ago for a droopy tip. Healing had been coming along great until recently I started noticing these small lines under each of my nostrils. What are they? Why are they forming? Will they go away? Are they fixable and how hard or easy are they to fix? The tip of my nose and columella are still very hard to the touch so there may be some swelling still. Yes the nasal tip can be altered to appear less pointy. &nbsp;
The cartilage can be altered/cut/shaved and a graft from the ear cartilage or other material can than be placed leading to a softer, rounder appearance&nbsp;

I've always been concerned about how pointy my nose is and how much it sticks out. I also have a plunging nasal tip when I smile. I'm happy with how it looks from the front and I really just want to change the profile, but I'm worried that the frontal view may be altered as well.

From the look of this photo, it appears like you have some symptoms of allergies, "allergic shiners". &nbsp;
If this is the case, you should try a nasal steroid spray,like Flonase. &nbsp; It is over the counter and actually reduces allergic symptoms caused by common seasonal allergens. &nbsp;The darkening under your eyes may actually be improved. &nbsp;This may be an easy, affordable way to reduce your concerns without needing any type of invasive procedure&nbsp;
