I had an extremely dark tattoo removed by Dr. Zelickson and his staff and it is now completely GONE. They were so wonderful and walked me through every step of the process. They made what can often be a painful process a breeze.
I have been getting botox and dysport injections since I was 26 years old. I am now 30. I prefer dysport over botox because it acts quickly and lasts longer, in my opinion. I used to spend 350, however, the more I get treated, the less amount of product I need. I just had 54 units and it was the perfect amount! I also get my bottom lip shot up to give it a pout and I love what that does too. The key is placement and an honest doctor.
Good day, I have had CO2RE resurfacing exactly 2 weeks ago from today for acne scarring and I have a mixture of boxcar, icepick and (rolling?) some odd sunken scars. I would rate my scarring as medium-mild. So far, I have seen modest improvement at best, some scars have soften up and a huge scar on the side of my face that has been bothering me became more level, which is a comfort. There are raised scars on my nose, but a single ice pick, not much to no improvement in those. I am thinking that it is perhaps optimistically about 5% improvement so far on the cheeks, but about ~1% on the nose. I might be planning to get another procedure done 2-3 months post procedure, though, seeing that it has also improved my skin texture. (it isn't as dead as it used to look) Take care.
I'll upload photos when there's something to see but I had the procedure done last week and I know I have to be patient. I had my muffin top/hip area done and was able to have both sides done at the same time with a little creative towel propping, so I was there a little under two hours including prep time and photos. It was pretty easy and if you've done your homework you know what to expect; intense sucking pressure followed by cold and then numbness. The only part I wasn't expecting was the way I would feel when they took it off. I could handle the pain but when she started massaging the frozen tissue back down I felt sorta sick and faint. I don't know if it was the fact that it was numb and I couldn't feel it so it messed with my brain or if my body went into a little shock ... it was easier on the second side but I advise if you're prone to fainting or clammy nauseous episodes to watch for that. After ten minutes I got dressed and was on my way. So far the only "side effects" I've had are slight bruising (not even purple, more spotty pink then turning light green) and the lack of skin sensitivity when you touch the areas. I have had occasional burning, tingling and tenderness but not a lot and I haven't had to take any OTC pain killers - it's manageable. I've been rebounding every day to keep my lymphatic system going and get those fat cells moving out. So ... now I wait! I hope to upload my before and after photos in a couple months and put doctor information in as well. Good luck to everyone. Me: 40 year old mother of three. 5-5" 137lbs. Updated on 17 Aug 2011: I'm two weeks post procedure and have the measuring tape handy! There have been no changes as far as shape or size but all signs of bruising are completely gone and the only way I know where the machine was used is due to the skin numbness. I have an occasional itch on the perimeters of the area but nothing else. I hope to take photos in two weeks for the "one month" and then again at two months. I truly hope to see visible results and feel better in my clothes by Fall. It's so hard to wait! Updated on 26 Sep 2011: I can go in for my two month follow up after October 1 and hopefully get some "after" photos taken so I can compare and share. I'm very happy with the results so far. Everything has smoothed down nicely and my pants fit better. It's also a great motivator to exercise to keep the results coming. I'm a fan! I'll probably go back for more treatments.
Hello, I had Fraxel Re-Pair done and my face and Active FX under my eyes exactly 2 weeks ago. So far, I am not impressed. I still have all the fine lines under my eyes that I really wanted to get rid of. That's why I even did the procedure. My doc says it takes 4 months for the collegen to build up but I just don't know. I still have a red face, and was extremely swolle, etc.so you would think that something must have worked. My freckles are slightly lighter from the fraxel, but I really have my doubts about the Active Fx. Anyone have any similar experience? Does it really get better? Updated: November 18, 2008 Wow! I am really happy. I saw my doc today for the 4 week check up and I saw the before and after photos. What a difference!! I had active x around my eyes and Fraxel RePair on the rest of my face. We might do a little more around the eyes in 3 months but I am pretty happy. I couldn't really see anything until I saw the before and after photos. My husband kept telling me how good I looked....Now I see it too!!
Had arched brows that looked unnatural. had to return 2 extra times for adjustments. Procedure NOT performed by a physician. Wanted a natural look, but did not get this. Won't be going back. Relative who is a Dermatologist out-of-state said that she always does her own Botox injections.
The MIraDry procedure primarily focuses on targeting the sweat glands and while it is possible to have some superficial fat destruction this has not been seen nor reported. It would be very unusual for the MiraDry procedure to lead to laxity of underarm skin.
