A friend recommended me to Dr. Downs after she received Juvederm injections & Botox. I loved the subtle enhancements Dr. Downs did for my friend. She still appeared very natural, which was both her goal & mine. I have been seeing Dr. Downs for a little over a year now. He is very receptive & listens well to what you want. I feel like he gives his honest opinion on what will look best...not what will benefit himself ($$$). I appreciate this! The first injection I got was Juvederm into a depressed acne scar just below my nasolabial fold. I also wanted a small amount into my lips. Dr. Downs made this look completely natural & I love the results. I didn’t even bruise! I’ve heard bruising can be related to the patient, but also the injector’s technique. He is very gentle, meticulous and extremely detail-oriented. I trust his technique! My Botox experiences with him have also been wonderful. I feel comfortable leaving his office knowing he provides you with direct contact info on how to reach him if something does not turn out as expected (which has never happened)! If you are looking to get ANYTHING done on your face I highly recommend Dr. Downs. He has completed many rigorous years of training dedicated to facial surgery, which is beyond valuable to me knowing the depth of facial anatomy/knowledge he possesses. 5 star review!
I had the unfortunate experience of having sinus cancer in 2012 and had to undergo 34 treatments of radiation. After 2 years a deep indentation developed in between my eyes and was quite noticeable. I was uncomfortable walking around like that so I had ask my doctor who I could work with to get this resolved and he referred me to Dr. Brian Downs. The rest is history and he is a wonderful man.
The situation that you describe could be complex. Certainly, arranging follow-up with another rhinoplasty surgeon closer to your home could be possible - but the very best person to evaluate you postoperatively is the surgeon who performed your rhinoplasty. I think that any service provided by a surgeon other than the one who performed your procedure would most likely not be covered under the original fee for surgery and would need to be paid for separately.Best wishes,Brian Downs, MD
Your question is a good one. Changes in profile are easily demonstrated in two dimensions, and therefore these lateral views are frequently used on webpages and promotional material. The other views - frontal, obIique, base, and modified base - help to show a sense of how the nose and its proportions fit in with the rest of the face. More importantly, be sure that you can have an open dialogue when you meet with surgeons. This will allow you to articulate your individual goals and get a sense of what can be achieved surgically. Good luck!
