I had been waiting for this procedure for nearly 2 years. I’ve always had big breasts. In grade 6 I was a 32 C. I’ve had back and neck pain which grew quite severe these past two years. Bra indents in my shoulders from the weight, and migraines from the strain. I’ve never shown anyone my boobs standing up, they’re huge and droopy. Not nice, on top of the pain! Got a referral for Dr. Byers and was absolutely stoked! I had my consultation with Dr. Byers in November and my surgery date was booked for December!! A little strange to have surgery on New Year’s Eve but I was so excited I didn’t care. We spoke about sizing and risks involved with the surgery. This was my first ever surgery, he assured me I was healthy enough for everything to go smoothly. My surgery was booked for 7:45 a.m. which was amazing, I would have been freaking out all day otherwise. Everything happened super fast. I was admitted and changed into my surgery gown in probably under 20 mins. Was wheeled into OR and Dr. Byers came by to speak with me and draw the outlines for the procedure. Going under was not as scary as I thought! I woke up in recovery and took a peak at my chest. Woke up with my surgical bra on and from above they looked the same so I asked the nurse administrating pain killers if “my boobies were smaller” and she responded that she had no idea, she just met me LOL. Going into the surgery I was an estimated E or F cup, so unsure though, obviously chain bra stores are no help. This picture was the morning of the surgery. Last pic of my big boobs. Updated on 2 Jan 2020: Felt so much stronger today than I did yesterday. Pain is actually super low! Was not expecting this, but I am grateful that the pain is so manageable... I’m a total wimp haha. I was able to put new pants on, brush my hair and put a bit of make up on today. I was EXHAUSTED after this though! I took a break and sat on the couch for a bit and then went to the bank and grocery shopping. My mom and sister helped me a ton! Opened all the doors, held my purse and groceries. I basically just walked around but I’m glad I did. Changed the bandages today, not as scary as I thought! They look amazing!! I have definitely lost nipple sensation as of now... will see if it returns... no itching or anything yet! I’m down to maybe 2-3 T3’s a day. So pain is super low and manageable. Surgeon assured me that the shape would round out a bit and that they will end up way smaller as they are super swollen right now. Will be booking a follow up with him tomorrow! Updated on 4 Jan 2020: There is quite some bruising happening, no itchiness yet. I haven’t taken any pain meds in 24 hours. No pain occurs unless I accidentally move the wrong way too quickly. I start university classes in two days so I’ll be driving on day 6 post op. Dr. Byers took nearly a pound and a half off total! I bought three different styles of bras with no underwire yesterday to see which style is comfiest once I’m cleared to take off the surgical bra.
Surgery when when I’m extremely happy with how I’m looking. I experienced no side effects and little to minimum pain. On a scaled of 10 being 1. I’m excited to see how they will heal. I’m trying to stay hydrated and get as much rest as possible. I’ll probably start going on walks to get the my blood circulating. Updated on 1 Jun 2018: I didn’t well last night so I’m in a little more pain than yesterday like a 3 on a scale of 10. My breast look great, however after over working my body I took a bath and ended up fainting. The paramedics said its Vasovagal syncope, happens when your body overreacts to certain triggers like the sight of blood. So now I’m resting and nothing else. Updated on 16 Jun 2018: Went for my first check up after surgery and everything is looking great. Finally took off my stiry strips and incisions look beautiful. I’m getting better everyday with pain, on occasions i get random stabbing pains in breast. I’m excited to see how it will look after everything settles. Updated on 16 Jun 2018: I had to re upload these pics because its blurry for some reason. These pics are from two days after i did the surgery. Updated on 25 Jun 2018: It will be a month on Friday, but I thought I’d post earlier since I’ve been doing really well. I started work and going back to the gym last week. I’ve been doing a lot of scar messages and rubbing my breast down twice a week with vitamin E and bio oil. I’m so happy with my results. I’ll update again in a few days. Updated on 16 Jul 2019: Breast look better than ever incision have healed and I have both feelings in nipples. I’m currently 39 weeks pregnant, I thought my breast would get better but they have remain at a decent size since surgery. Doctors Byers hands are truly gifted, you can barely see my incisions unless you lift up my boob. I’m so happy with the results and will truly recommend him over and over again. Updated on 17 Jul 2019: Doctors Byers, was honestly the best. He took his time with my surgery. From the very beginning he made me feel comfortable. My incision look amazing right after surgery and after a year I can say that his work and stitching remain intact. You can barley see my scaring and they are stitched to perfection you literally need to lift my boob to see if there was work done. I would recommend 100 times over. Thank You doctors Byers and your amazing team. I'm so happy with my results a year after.
