Dr Wilhelmi is very caring and professional, and a great surgeon! He explained everything I could expect from the surgery and took great care of me after surgery. His office staff is wonderful and always called me back when I had a question or concern (I had quite a few). I can truly say Dr Wilhelmi changed my life and I would do it all over again! I thank God for him every day and would recommend him highly for anyone needing surgery.
Dr Wilhelmi is the best. I had a neck lift last December & I am beyond thrilled with the results. I had a botched procedure 10 years ago that he was able to repair & make my neck look 10 years younger at the same time His bedside manner consists of great communication & thorough knowledge of his skills. Nothing better than having so much experience to draw on. I appreciate his candor & inquisitive nature. I would highly recommend his services to anyone.
One of the best investments I've made so far! I love dr. Wilhelmi as he is so attentive to detail. He is louisvilles best kept secret (imho) . The only negative is his assistant carol has the WORST time of getting you scheduled in and returning calls. I had to keep calling and calling until I spoke to another nurse who helped get me on the books. Totally worth it and you can trust him. He does a thorough job and doesn't rush. Highly suggest!
I had bilateral breast reconstruction with implants after a mastectomy. Dr. Wilhelmi did an excellent job and I have a great end result. He listens to his patients and answers all of your questions, never in a rush. He treats you like a member of his family. I fully trust him and have had some other work done as well. If you want a highly skilled surgeon who has his patients best interests at heart, you won't go wrong with Dr. Wilhelmi. Highly recommended, best experience all around.
My doctors recommended the surgery after finding out I had a pinched nerve in the c6/c7 area of my neck. My reduction was covered by my VA Medical Benefits, not Tricare. I was worried about the pain and healing process. It's June 17th and I'm feeling pretty good. I still can't drive for another week. I was prescribed pain pills and a muscle relaxer. I was able to control pain with 800mg Ibrofen. I have feeling in both nipples - this wa immediately noticeable after surgery. My surgery should have taken 2 hours, but it took 6 hours. I had to stay overnight. Removed 850 grams from right breast and 1100 grams from the left breast. There was a lot of swelling. Also my left hand was numb. It took about 5 days to get all feeling back....about as long as it took to get all the feeling back in my left breast. It's 14 days later and I still have quite a bit of swelling in my right breast. Drainage tubes were removed on June 16th. My armpit is still quite swollen. I can't see a difference yet. I will post photos tomorrow. Updated on 2 Jul 2015: Hi Ladies, Well I found out its safe to wear deodorant under my armpit, no need for ice packs anymore....compression is they key now. So I'm wearing the ace bandage wrap over my sports bra for a minimum of 4 hours a day. I also try to wrap it so I get that swollen armpit in there too. I wish I would have taken just a photo of the armpit on the first day. It was huge....it's gone down a lot! I don't follow up with my surgeon for another 4 weeks. I'm driving now and I'm up moving around. No pain at all! Sometimes in the morning when I first get up....the pressure from the fluid build up hurts...but once I'm up and moving it's fine.
The outcome was AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Dr.Brandon Wilhelmi and staff are wonderful, loving, and caring! He truly cares about his patients!!!!!!!! Will be having more work done by him. I like the doctor even though I sat in the waiting room for about 3 hrs but I believe dr wihelmi had surgeries that come in that needed done. Hes a doctor that was named top doctor of u of l and in louisville so that made me feel better. He tells you exactly what he thinks needs to be done and what he will do to help you Updated on 24 Apr 2015: I'm now 4 weeks post op and have had a few problems here and there. There's still stitches there. Still been having pain and numbness, mainly on left side but he took more from the left. Other than that, I'm doing good. I just wish I'd known all the pain and everything that came with it before I Did this
