However, I require clearance from their primary care provider who manages their diabetes and I make sure that their diabetes is well controlled with glucose ranges normal. If your glucose control is abnormal, there is significant risk for wound healing and other significant complications. 

Hello and thanks for your question. The options to quit smoking are chantix (medication), cold turkey, or weaning with vape pens or patches. It is very important to be nicotine free for a few weeks before your mommy makeover to decrease your chance of complications. The nicotine itself is the issue - so any nicotine containing product needs to weaned off to zero. If you like, your primary care physician can offer programs to help you in your attempt at nicotine cessation.

Tuberous is a term used to describe breasts who have a narrow lower pole and decreased distance from the nipple to the fold and to some degree enlarged areola with breast tissue protruding into the areola. I would agree with your assessment that your breasts may have a mild degree of tuberous characteristics. If you are interested in a more thorough evaluation I would recommend meeting with a board certified plastic surgeon.

It has the benefit of avoiding the nausea associated with general anesthesia as well as any other side effects of general anesthesia. However, even in the most experienced hands, there is some discomfort experienced with augmentation under local. I recommend meeting with a board certified plastic surgeon to discuss the different modalities possible for sedation.
