Dr. Keojampa is simply the best FFS surgeon in the world. Originally from Hong Kong, I initially planned my FFS in South Korea. However, after learning about many botched cases there, I decided to look elsewhere. Through extensive research, I chose the US for safety and good results and decided on Dr. Keojampa. Dr. Keojampa has a calm and friendly demeanor. The first in-person consultation with him was thorough. He balanced his recommendations with my desires and outlined how he would ensure my safety during the procedure by avoiding various nerves and potential problems. He is a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon with a background in Otorhinolaryngology, making him very experienced with the structure of the head and face. Dr. Keojampa performed several procedures on me: Feminizing Forehead Cranioplasty Type 3 (coronal incision), orbital shaping, eyebrow repositioning, brow lift, hair transplant, rhinoplasty, cheek augmentation, lip lift (Modified Deep Plane Technique), jaw and mandible contouring with sliding genioplasty, and scarless tracheal shave. The results are simply amazing, totally beyond my expectations. Dr. Keojampa's commitment to safety is unparalleled. He used a 3D CT scan in his San Francisco office to map out critical nerves and anatomical structures, reducing risks during surgery. His use of advanced technology and his detailed, patient-centered approach underscored his dedication to my well-being. The support from Dr. Keojampa's team was invaluable. Danielle and Alyssa from the Patient Concierge team ensured all logistical aspects were handled smoothly, making my travel from Hong Kong to San Francisco as easy as possible. Caitlin from Dr. Keojampa's office offered unwavering support during pre-op and post-op care. Mary and Roy, the nurses at the Austin Surgery Center in SF, played a crucial role in ensuring my comfort and well-being before, during, and after the surgical procedure. Dr. Vo, the anesthesiologist, provided expert care throughout the surgery. Together, Dr. Keojampa and his exceptional team created a supportive environment that complemented his surgical expertise. Dr. Keojampa's dedication to achieving the best results was evident. He took his time during the surgery at his co-owned Austin SF Surgery Center, which lasted over 14 hours, to ensure every detail was perfect. This commitment to perfection reinforced my confidence in his expertise. Before my FFS, I was occasionally misgendered, which caused significant gender dysphoria and low self-esteem. After my FFS, I am correctly gendered 100% of the time and extremely happy with the results, which are far beyond my expectations. This surgery has truly been life-changing. Dr. Keojampa is well known for his Feminizing Forehead Cranioplasty Type 3, rhinoplasty, jaw and mandible contouring with sliding genioplasty, and scarless tracheal shave (he's a pioneer in this). He is one of the very few FFS surgeons with an excellent track record and almost no negative reviews. He prioritizes safety and delivers outstanding results. In conclusion, entrusting Dr. Kyle Keojampa with my FFS journey was one of the most rewarding decisions I've made. While his expertise may come with a higher price tag, I can wholeheartedly attest that every penny spent is an investment in exceptional results, unparalleled care, and most importantly, safety. Dr. Keojampa's transformative work has not only reshaped my external appearance but has also profoundly enhanced my quality of life. I extend my deepest gratitude to Dr. Keojampa and his remarkable team for their pivotal role in facilitating this life-changing journey. I will post my pre- and post-op pictures in a Facebook group dedicated to FFS so that those of you who are interested can go there and check out my results.
The entire process was easy and the team was helpful. There were few difficulties in arranging the surgery even during the pandemic. Very pleased 1 year after with type 3 cranioplasty, lip lift, and submalar implants. Overall somewhat subtle but excellent work, and followups were scheduled for the entire recovery and healing period.
Dr. Keojampa is one of those rare human beings - he has huge a heart and is amazing at what he does! When I was trying to decide who to go with for my Facial Feminization procedure, it was a no-brainer! Dr. Keojampa is an awesome surgeon and a awesome human being! He has been dedicating a large part of his life to helping the transgender community and once you talk to him and see him, you quickly realize how much he cares about what he does. Dr. Keojampa even met with me on a Saturday!!! Seriously, how crazy is that? I don't know how he can do that. He's super human hahaha... I am extremely grateful for him!! I would partly describe Dr. Keojampa as a surgery nerd, and I mean this as a huge compliment because you have to be nerdy to be into all the new technologies like 3D printing, Ai, Virtual reality planning, to advance in the field of surgery to make it safe for the patient and achieve the best results consistently. What touched me the most about Dr. Keojampa is that you can see that he is doing his life's purpose and that is so inspiring, especially for those that are still looking for that sense of purpose in their own work!! I had no worries at all going in my Facial Feminization operation. At all times, he made sure everything was safe and the result was excellent! He also follows you for a year after the operation to make sure everything is okay! This operation really boosted my self-confidence and now I can go out without any doubt or fear of being misgendered for how I look! Thank you so much for giving me my life back, you're the best Dr. Keojampa!!
My experience with this doctor was absolutely wonderful. He is absolutely incredible and an artist in his craft. Also very sweet and thoughtful. He was always mindful of my opinions and asked me what I wanted. For anyone considering this, do your research, know what you want and consider Dr. Keojampa.
I had FFS with Keojampa in October 2019, and it's been life changing. I had hairline lowering, type 3 forehead reconstruction, orbital rim reduction, rhinoplasty, silicone cheek implants, dermal augmentation of upper lip, T shape genioplasty to reduce chin length and width, and a partial jaw reduction while leaving the natural angles intact. I had neck liposuction, and a trachea shave as well. My hairline scar is practically invisible just five months post op, and there is no scar from my trachea shave, absolutely no trace of any sort of incision on my neck. I used a scar gel recommended by Keojampa for my hairline scar, but not for the trachea shave incision. I don't think anyone old have done better work on me. The results were dramatic, yet I look natural and not like I've had any work done at all. I still look like me, but much more feminine. I highly recommend Keojampa!
Hello everyone!! I decided on Keojampa for his impeccable work. It couldn't be more perfect and I've never seen anyone as skilled no matter how many I look into! When I called to schedule a consultation everyone was extremely kind, pleasant, a easy to talk to about something that is easy to get shy about. Unfortunately the only opening was on December 24th! It feels soooo long ago lol, and I know he's booked out until like June! Hoping maybe we could break up the surgeries and try to fit them in over that time instead of all at once, I'd worry about healing from all that at once honestly! But I would be HONORED to have work done by him! I love Realself and wanted to document my journey through this for you guys and for me to connect with others while i wait and while i heal! sooo excited, love you guys and have a great day x
Still in the recovery process. I had forehead contouring, brow lift, rhinoplasty, and a lip lift. I had a great experience here! The staff was really kind and responded quickly to my emails. I was able to set up an out of town Skype consultation and book my surgery. My opinion mattered! I was able to ask any questions and nothing was rushed. I felt like his only patient and that was a great feeling. You'll know the process and exactly what to expect. I spent time with him before my surgery and he explained everything that was going to be done. He took pictures and showed me what I could expect my results to look like! They're a very professional team. Have a relaxed surgery center. Honestly the recovery wasn't anywhere near as bad as I thought it would be. I was able to get any painkillers before the surgery too, so I had them ready. If you fly in from out of state I would definitely recommend a nearby airbnb over a hotel. It saved me quite a bit of money. I was there for 2 weeks total. He isn't a doctor to just do the surgery and walk away. He cares through the whole process. During my recovery if I have any questions about my healing he gave me a number to contact and is quick to respond. Being able to have that type of contact with your doctor is a life changer! When going through such a big surgery, theres going to be so many nerves, lots of questions, and concerns. He cares about you and your surgery outcome. And that's a relief and a big deal! I'm super happy I chose him and his team for my FFS. I would highly recommend! Updated on 21 Sep 2019: I am feeling good. A lot of the swelling has gone down. I can breathe out of my nose normally again! For 2 months I feel like the scar looks pretty good, especially when I wear makeup it's not really noticeable. I have a lot more movement in my lips now too. I feel like I can smile and eat a lot better. I love how much fuller and higher they are! I can’t wait to see more of my nose shape. I know some people prefer a straight nose profile but I never have. I’ve always wanted a dainty, short, curved nose, with a low bridge! I just loooovvee how that looks! I’m still waiting for the swelling in my nose and where my forehead meets my nose, to go down. Right now my nostrils point downward and from the side it looks like I'm flaring them upward. It looks quite odd right now. Least to say, I can’t go out in public very often, just stay home as much as possible. I’ll post more pictures of when the swelling subsides more.
Dr. Keojampa is a fantastic doctor and I couldn't recommend him highly enough. I had a great experience with my rhinoplasty from the consultations to the surgery itself all the way til one year later for the follow ups where he demands perfection.
I had FFS with Keojampa four weeks ago and, though it is still early in the healing process, I am thrilled with the outcome thus far. My greatest fears going in to FFS were that it would not be sufficient to make me pass, that I would be left with functional impairment, or – worst of all – I would wish I had gone with another surgeon; none of those came to pass, and I don't believe there is anyone in the world who would've produced a better result. I did not expect choosing who to go to be easy for me; though it may be a routine procedure for the provider, it is a (hopefully) once in a lifetime event for the patient. I wanted to feel confident that I was making the right decision. I did extensive research to learn what was within the realm of possibility results wise and then set out to find a surgeon who I felt could come closest to that ideal. I read Dr. Ousterhout's FFS book, spoke with friends in surgical residencies, reviewed publications on soft tissue and bone work, etc. to make sure I understood what I was getting into and which procedures were necessary to reverse the effects of testosterone-based puberty. After consulting with Keojampa, the choice was clear. He was incredibly thorough during our first meeting, happy to explain why he uses specific techniques, what he does to minimise scarring, and discuss the pros and cons of different approaches, etc. - it was clear to me that he loves the work he does and strives to produce the best outcomes for his patients. At no point did he attempt to upsell me on any procedures – he even talked me out of a couple I had been considering! The final surgical plan was typical of FFS, with a Type 3 forehead reconstruction, jaw and mandible contouring, lip lift, and cheek augmentation. The forehead and soft tissue work healed remarkably quickly; the mandible is a bit more trouble, but recovery was as easy as I could have hoped for, and the worst pain I experienced was comparable to a bad headache and I was able to return to working remotely within a week of surgery. Post-operative care has been wonderful and exceeded my expectations, with prompt responses to all my questions (even trivial ones!). Though I blended well before surgery, there were obvious signs of facial virilization under scrutiny. Those are gone. What more can a girl ask of FFS?
I had my FFS with Dr. Keojampa 2 months ago and I could only say that it was an amazing experience. I am loving my new face. I still look like me but more feminine. The procedures i got was type 3 forehead reconstruction, scalp advancement, browlift, rhinoplasty, and vline jaw surgery as well as lip augmentation. I used to be very very insecure about my browbone and very high hairline but not anymore, thanks to Dr. Keojampa. I can now do a middle part hairstyle. I highly recommend him he is amazing. If you guys wanna see more or me yourstrulyjem is my Instagram account. Updated on 10 Oct 2018: Attached is my before and after. The photo on the right is my 2 months post op FFS by Dr. Kyle Keojampa. I am very very happy!!! My only advice when having FFS especially with rhinoplasty is to be patient. I thought i would never love my nose result but now I'm 2 months post op I could see so much of a difference my tip is getting pointy and less bulbous. I'm so so so happy! Dr. Keojampa is amazing.
Jaw surgery which includes jaw angle reduction and chin reduction also known as V-line surgery is actually EXTREMELY difficult for an inexperienced surgeon. Extensive experience is required to perform it safely but also with satisfactory results. Any surgeon you choose should be performing jaw reduction every week as it is a very technically demanding procedure to perform. Swelling is common in the early period but rough edges even in the early period should not be palpable if contoured smoothly.
High impact procedures to feminize the face include Browbone reduction with orbital reshaping to enlarge the appearance of the eyes along with a lip lift to shorten the phitrum. Both procedures are relatively easy recovery without much pain or discomfort.
Based on your picture, nothing looks overly masculine but women tend to have a smaller petite chin and jaw. A powerful procedure to feminize the face is jaw reduction to shorten the lower face.
Reducing the height and length of the jaw can dramatically improve facial proportions. Surgery is scarless as the incisions are all hidden inside the mouth.
For significant V line jaw reduction, we will perform simultaneous face or neck lift otherwise there can be loose or saggy skin after reduction. Most moderate reduction in young patients do not need face or neck lifting. Recommend an in office consult with a 3D facial CT scan for a full assessment/
