I don't recommend veneers ,but to see an orthodontist to fix the bite and occlusion.

you might need to get veneers after you finish your ortho treatment depending on what the results are after ortho is finished.

in order to fully understand how how you can get the best results, we will need more pictures.

one other factor is "how would you like your future smile to look like"

in general if you have teeth that need to be pushed back in the arch and if you are looking for a more long lasting smile my preference would be porcelain veneers to composite.

with the new methods there are ways to use Digital smile Design in order to see the simulation of the smile before you proceed to prep teeth.

ask your dentist about Digital Smile Design.

Also you can always have your dentist make a wax of your smile and have him do a more-up of the smile on your teeth so you can see if you like the smile design or not.

offcourse there might be some costs associated with these steps that in my opinion it will guarantee that your future smile best fits your face.

Typically after few days of Instalation of veneers, there should not be any more bleeding on the gums or bad smell unless 1.the veneers are bulky and the food get stock under the veneer or 2.there is some more cement left inside the gums that is causing the inflammation and bleeding on the gums with bad smell.

you should go back to your dentist to make sure that the gums get healthy again

the answer to your question completely depends on the amount of enamel left on your teeth.

veneers unlike crowns are more fragile and rely on enamel bonding.new material have a lot more durability. 

your dentist should choose the material very carefuly ignorer to get more durable results.
