Any time I need filler or any other injectable to smooth my wrinkles I always go to Dr. Gasquet. She’s one of the most experienced physicians that I know in the area and I trust her skill with myself, my entire family and all my friends!
I've always had very thin lips, and I have a small indentation on my top lip. It is something I've been insecure about for a long time. I believed getting a filler would give me more confidence. I had restylane ( 1 syringe) injected 3 years ago, and it gave good results. Now I had juvederm ( 1 1/2 syringes) injected, and I'm really excited to see the results after the swelling has gone down. Updated on 7 May 2016: I have some bruising and tenderness 3 days post injection. Updated on 26 May 2016: My lips are healed and fuller. I may need to add a little more to balance them out, but they look and feel better.
I think your provider likely used the "usual" amount for the forehead, and this average amount may have been too much for you in particular. I would request they stay higher up with the injection, and use half of what they would normally use. Then you can wait 2 weeks, if you want more - then go back. My philosophy is always start low and go slow as far as dosing.
Depending on where you are (you can do a google search I suppose).... Sculptra and PDO threads can strategically increase volume. If you search your local area for providers - I am sure they can give you the cost/duration. Usually both modalities are going to need at least 2 sessions for what I see on your photos. In addition .... there are some treatments (non-invasive body slimming, ie. Lipomassage) that will "smooth" the area .... so there is no longer a transition seen (this is where I would start if you can find someone local with Lipomassage ..
It appears you have volume loss from excessive/strong muscle contraction (your elevens are deep). You would need to have a consultation to know exactly which is more of the culprit. Botox for the 11's (glabellar area), then wait 2 weeks and assess for resolution. If the indentations are still there and bothersome, then a little filler or PDO threads may do the trick. Dr. G
DEpending on the comfort level of the doctor you go to -- I have actually treated these nicely with a combination of Juvederm Ultra Plus/Vollure. Sculptra can be combined. In addition - PDO thread can be placed to increased collagen as well. I would just have a consultation with a couple of local docs recommended to you ... ask around to see if anyone has gone there, and sit and discuss with the provider before making a decision. The doc should be comfortable and familiar with the options before you decide.
If you have never had injectables before .. I would do things step by step. You look great for 30 anyhow. But, if you want more cheek volume and a slimmer jaw line, maybe do the cheek filler and botox to the masseter muscles first. Address lips after. Also - I always love a little brow shaping, and brow lift/crows feet botox treatment to wake the eyes a little. Full cheeks and a fresh look are always a youthful trait. You look great regardless! Best of luck :)
