I had a consultation with Dr. Stanley and so far so good. I am still price shopping. But I think she is the best dentist I've met. She explained the process very well. My only reservation is the cost. her prices are not particularly high. But, it is a big investment as my teeth aren't all that bad, but I think i could see an improvement. if I do this. I will definitely provide a follow up
Any type of orthodontics (wire or aligners) will change your bite. Sometimes it gets worse before it gets better. This may be the case for you. I suggest that you see your dentist to confirm that your teeth are moving as planned. If your dentist is comfortable with your progress, then I would say everything is normal.
I tell all of my Invisalign patients to wear their trays at least 22 out of 24 hours. That would basically mean that you are wearing them all day and night except when you are eating. Be careful when you take them out to eat. Many people like to wrap them in a napkin. Napkins are normally tossed in the trash. Your aligners can get throw in the trash before you realize it. If this happens, put in your previous aligner and see your dentist right away. Remember, orthodontic movement of your teeth will not happen unless your aligners are in your mouth. The more you wear them, the quicker you get use to them.
